Race against a modded Fox Body

This happened the same night as my other race with the LT1 camaro. This was a manual 90-93 GT.

Well there are a LOT of Foxbodies around here so I figured it was just another 16 year old with an auto 5.slow. Well I get up there and I hear it lopin like a ****. Well I decided to give it a shot anyways from a dead stop. Well from the launch I gained about a fender on him, then he sprayed DAMN that sucker just went right on by me like I hit my brakes.

I pull up next to him at the next light and ask what he has done. He had a full bolt-on H/C/I with nitrous. He told me he only used a 75 shot against me though. We agreed to race again once I get my nitrous re-installed.

Oh yeah another do you guys think I would be able to hang w/ a 75 shot H/C/I 302 fox body with my bolt-on 150 shot L98? My friend has similar mods to me plus a 150 shot in his 1989 IROC-Z and he ran a 111 mph trap speed through the 1/4.

No, a good HCI set up should trap upwards of 111 mph all motor. Throw a 75 shot on and he is probably 115+ easily.

Yea, he should definitely be trapping in the 109 - 115 range with just h/c/i depending on the combination without the nitrous. Then again, I ran into a guy the other day with a 347 with TFS R heads that couldn't get out of the 13's

You would think so. That's what happens when you mix a cobra intake and B cam with such a combination.
