G force ???

OK so me and a few friends at work were talking about 3g pro touring cars. It made us wonder, and what point do you know if you are pulling a G in acceleration? Like how fast would you have to go in the quarter to hold a G for a second or two? I am talking aside from expensive metering instruments, but more of a basic guidline.

Put a thousand one dollar bills on the dashboard and hit some turns. When ALL of the bills fly to the other end of the dashboard, that's 1 G.

Yeah, pretty much. Your pulling one G sitting there browsing third gen. You pull about 3 taking off in a commercial airliner. So Im guessing your not gonna pull more than 3 in your average thirdgen.

Them really pull 3 g's? I am yet to go in a big plane, mostly been in small 6 passenger planes that do local flights. Thats an interesting little fact!
