i want to race my friend who has a c6 vette. think i would have a chance? mods in my sig.

 

Might be close but my money is on the Vette if he can drive.

 

Close down low, u have a lot of torque, but he'll start pullin hard eventually.

Oh my bad i thought you had 3.73s allready, with 2.73s your car must have screaming top end power. still might edge you out b/c you dont have the gear to accellerate.

 

Just race him and post the results. It should be interesting.

if the C6 can drive, it will be a close race.

what cam is in that 383 of yours? the stock ZZ383 cam? what are the specs on that. i think its a mild cam cuz that motor is rated at like 425hp or something. but still, i think you have a mid 12 second car. should be close race

 

That z06 is running long tubes and hi flow cats... not completely stock, although rather close

 

Oh ok, I didn't know that. Then I think the fastest I know of is 11.8@ low 120s.

 

the fastest Z06 bone stock was 11.3 at 125 or 126. guy on one of the corvette forums, i believe Ranger is his name. later on with longtubes/CAI and tune i think, the car went 10.9's at 130.

 

mine is the stock zz 383 and it is a fair idle cam which is 222-230@50 and 509/528 on the lift. i might need to throw in some 323 or 342 gears to help the car pull more. the car redlines at 6k so i might hold off for a little bit.

 

HEck if you go to 6K... go 3.42s you might even be able to get away with a set of 3.73's if you don't drive on the highway too much.

My Money is on the vette... if he can drive.

 

ranger has ran 11.3@127 with street tires and 11.21 with slicks. he doesnt mod his car, so the car that went 10s is someone else.

all distance i meen i like ur mods and u should beat him off the line but thouse cars the vette r highway kings on a roll over he will beat u i got money on u 4 a 8th even maybe a 1/4 but a 1/2 he has u fo sho

 

I'd put my money on your car. Chances are that the guy you are racing does not have enough ***** to go the distance (especially since he has an expensive car). You got him man.

i was up at the track saturday and there was a blue c6 up there runnin. he was only running a 13.15 but it was an auto.

 

Probibly wasn't a Z51 either...

Just because it is an auto doesnt mean a thing! I would get an auto if I were able to afford a c6.

 

I thought z51 was just a wheels/brakes package.

I saw a C6 running 14s the other night, his dial in was like 14.15 lol

You can fix that for about 500 dollars, just simply spray you way past his butt....LOL..
