I have talked crap to my buddy he has 81 corvette that he just took all emisons off, went with elec cooling fan new cam, edelbrock eps performer intakek, holly street avenger carb 670 cfm, hooker super comp headers to 4" side pipes, I did not think he would race me now he said come on! do I have a chance in hell?

You should be running a bit faster than 15.1. Well the stock 81 vette is the crappiest smogged out excuse for a V8 muscle car ever besides the late 2nd gen trans ams. A honda Civic could probly beat either of those cars stock but who knows how much power he could be making with those parts and the SMOG stuff off. If you tuned your car right and improved reaction timing/ 60 ft. I think you have a good chance actually

81 vettes were like 16 second slugs stock.

Surely you mean teh late 70s camaros because the late 70s TAs were the fastest production cars available in the US at the time. A 400 4speed car was good for low 15s to high 14s, way faster than the camaro or corvette of that time. The only thing near as quick was the Little Red Express trucks from Dodge with the police spec 360.

bickel where are you from? Your altitude must be really high to only be running 15s or your car needs a tune.

Your chances depend on if he got the right cam for his car. But most likey, as leeperryracing said, its a drivers race.
