3ed gen VS. fox who would win

who would win this race. the duke VS. a non svo 4 cylinder fox.

i think we could all agree that would be the slowest race between two sports cars ever.

if the duke gets blown out how about the 2.8

I had a 89 Firebird with a 2.8 and automatic transmission. Raced against a foxlike this with a manual tranny. With my 2.8, I raped him so bad. Never smoked anyone else by that much lol and my car was slowwwww... Never ran in a duke so I don't know. It should be pretty even

i honestly dont know who would win but my faith lies with the duke. my buddy has an 89 mustang lx 4cyl auto left to him by his grandfather and it horribly slow, almost golfcart status. i cant imagine an iron duke f-body being much faster(if its faster at all) but i got to represent the f body crowd.

i have driven a 4 cylinder auto stang and it was painfully slow, slower then a midsu hemi powered caravan, but the duke can't be much faster. But my view of performance is warped i don't fell a lot of power in my car or ls1's

lol i cant resist, but thats like winning the special olympics

but for a more tech related response, doesnt the 2.2 make like 88hp and the duke make 92hp. the fox is going to weigh less than the camaro, especially if its a notch

The 87-92 (not exactly sure on the years here) were rated at 88 hp. The 93 was rated at 105 hp. I own a 93 5-speed 4 cyl car and it is insanely slow. I raced my friends 89 4 cyl auto car and RAPED him. Had a good 5 cars on him to about 65-70 (yes 65-70). Those cars are pretty bad, but the people who bought them didnt care or put 5.0s in them...

be a sad race to watch!
