Ran with a 06 Viper
Had the luck of meeting a 06 Viper merging onto the #2 highway here and after him do a fly by once, and me doing a fly by after that, we went from about 130km/h on, he started about 1 car length behind me. He had and instant 1-2 car lengths on me all the way till until I buried the speedo at 245kmh and after that he started putting some distance on, I couldnt believe the pull that thing had past 245kmh +

Beautiful video, didn't they pull that off just like last week?
I would like to see Chads viper get back into the sevens with his six speed.

The z06 (little z on purpose) is the only Vette that has been made since the Viper came out that will beat it. It took Chevy quite a long time to get it right. Hmm- when was the Viper introduced- 92 I think. In other words, unless you have a z06- any Viper will "rape" any 92< vette stock for stock. And it won't take long for Dodge to up the ante and wait a decade or so for the Vette to play catch-up.

Stock = lazy. No matter what you have my saying will always be "It's not what you buy, it's what you build"

Haven't we heard about the Corvette SS (Blue Devil) Chevy is putting out?
It's rumoured to have at least 650hp. If you look at the 500hp Viper/Z06, the Vette wins. A re-match with, again, 650hp for both, will the outcome be the same? I don't think GM is sitting on it's hands anymore these days. It's about time too.

The amount of cash you have to play with decides the outcome of your playtoys.

The new Z06 seems to out perform the new viper in every way with less hp but that doesn't mean average joe's like me can get in one and beat a viper.

ok, heres the ZR-1 Viper break down. A viper has a vette any year model. OK, ZR-1 = V8. Viper R/T = V10. Im one to agree with the theory that "its not what you buy but what you build because i would never spend XXX thousands of dollars on a car, when i could build one that would be insane for half the price. But this Blueshark Vette will have way more than 600HP (if it gets off the ground at GM) and it will be alot pricier than a viper. The only color available on them will be black and blue (???). And honestly, with the camaro coming back, and GM having enough promblems making money and cars people will buy, the Blueshark will stay in the closet anyway.

Yeah Vipers do suck, MotorTrend magazine rated it 3rd between the Z06 and 07 Shelby GT500, even though the Viper beat the Shelby in almost everything they still gave i 3rd!!
I hangout with this guy who has an 1100hp supercharged built LS2 in a 2001 Vette and holy ****!!!!!! Thats all I need to say about that!
