third gen vs 2006 v6 mustang

Hi, I just joined the site and i was just wondering what third gens could take out my friends dads 2006 v6 mustang auto stock. I'm pretty sure an L98 could mop the floor with it but im wondering about a 5.0 tpi and 5.0 tbi. Me and my friend will both be driving soon and i just want to make sure i beat the snot outta that thing when i get a camaro because the kid is a real jerk when it comes to cars and he thinks his dads mustang is faster than just about everything. One time he told me it could go 200mph and just tonight he was saying it could beat a 350z.

LOL haha makes me laugh. The 305tpi would prolly beat it. all stock tbi motors are dogs. The v6 mustang couldnt hit 200 going down the side of a building. It is governed. The 350z would walk all over all three cars fore mentioned if they were stock, those things are quick!!! Where from chi u at? Im in joliet. If u get a camaro go for a 350 tpi or a 305tpi with a 5speed otherwise get a nice body and build your own engine down the road.

350 TPI will destroy it, 305 TPI will beat it no prob, and a 305 TBI will run with it but probably lose. I've raced an '05 V6 stang a couple times and it was about even with my LO3

Just remember not to race on city streets. The tickets are very expensive

Well before I took my car off the road, I beat a v6 mustang soooo bad that the driver ran a red light so he wouldnt face me at the next one. I dont understand how an LO3 could lose to a 2000 v6.

I gotta believe hat them v-6 stangs are low 15 second cars. Heck a 2002 v-6 5 speed camaro hit a 14.9 up here at about 1200ft. You will have a hard time beating him in any camaro bellow 1988.

stock for stock, my split port (99-04) mustang would walk the LO3 by doing the D2D shift on the stangs auto (a trick for a built in shift kit), taking my muffler out helped alot, the split ports (mine being an auto and vert) are high 15s but low 15s and even 14s are possible for 5 speed coupes, the new ones are low 15 second cars to high 14 second cars, ive taken NPI and 5.0 SN95 GTs before in both cars and so im going to say that you should have him in yours

your not touching 200 unless you have 400 HP and 3.73 gears, stock, the 3.31s are dogs
