Re: Darn Geos! They never learn!

I guess it's a free country. but i still don't agree, and by the way did you forget ford owns tons of cars that are not really American? Volvo, Mazda, Jaguar, Land rover, Austin martin etc...

Ford is like Toyota, they both outsource to different countries.

So what should i buy? (and yes i know some GM performance parts are Australian and some cars built in Mexico, Canada but all of the big three do it)

and don't get so defensive maybe some other people have imports and fords on here that will back you up.
I hate mustangs, i love camaros and yes i guess I'm missing out on real cars like the mexican focus and the mustang? but to be honest i feel pretty happy with GM. We build the Z06 that outperforms the Ferrari and wins lemans, the impala ss is very nice and fast and racing version seems to be holding it's own, the cobalt can get 1000hp with factory bolt ons. The Cadillac is top of the line and the GTO chassis is the far more advanced than the others. we also are going to be the first with an electric car to be massed produced and have more ethanol (E85) cars than anyone other US manufacturer.

Ya it feels goos looking down on the rest of you.

and it's okay if you get pissed at me. If i was you, I'd be pissed too. but seriously you are on a CAMARO site.... you have to expect this. I mean really? CAMARO.... read it.... now think about it... now comprehend it.......(light bulb goes off)..ya.

and yes i have a TBI for now, I'm in college, I'm 78,000 dollars in debt a stroker motor is not my main concern.

CAMARO...(light bulb)
Your one of THOSE people, that speaks about Chevy as if you work for them, or they own you? Who refers to a car company as us, and then say you look down on everyone else... You never built a Z06, YOU dont have an electric car coming out, YOU had nothing to do with the GTO or the Caddy, so why refer to it like your part of GM... GM could care less about you, comprehend that?

Now that thats off my chest, I was a college kid till about a few months ago, and have what I have on that same budget, the difference is I worked my tail off to get what I wanted, instead of making excuses. Mines a project too, I am just not embarrassed by it.

Who says I am pissed? I LOVE this stuff, gives me something interesting to read at work (usually). I get paid to see thirdgen owners go after me on threads. The funny part was, I didn't even say anything in this thread, other than what the topic was about. Never put anything down, and gave my .02 about a short wheelbase car, and get the "your on a thirdgen site and don't own one, leave now". This stuff amuses me, especially reading all the other thirdgen guys laughing at the one or two that always seem to jump on me.

You continue to call them pu$$ystangs and drive your TBI thirdgen, and I will continue to appreciate ALL cars and brands, and drive my 5.0 Mustang, and my A4.

Re: Darn Geos! They never learn!

what are u guys, 8? come on now, yes he has a mustang and its a chevy forum, but who cares, he could probably show you a thing or two about working on cars. my first car was a 68 mustang, but i like my trans am a whole lot better. its all personal preference, the only reason im not driving a mustang is personal preference. I don't care for the fact that everyone has one, and of course smokey and the bandit is the bomb. so I made my choice and the ford guys make theirs. i have no problem with 25th mustang (unless the trys to sabotage our cars or something) (jk) if hes helping people then I dont care if hes here, in fact I say good for you we need more CAR guys here who give answers and help out the members of this board. but thats just my 2 cents, but what do i know

anyways the best thing that has been said here is that its rice vs. muscle. these guys at my school are always running around bragging about there cars because its a VTAK or its turboed, my slow stock t/a can take most of them. actually the only car guys I hang out with drive mustangs cause the one other chevy guy at my school is weird. the guys wioth the real cars just sit back and laugh at all of these thug gangsters b/c its really not worth the gas

Haha, actually did a lot of jobs through school (from mechanic, to landscaping, to valet parking cars, to archtecture), and graduated *** laude with an Engineering Degree... Sooo

So if all your family works for GM and Ford, why do you refer to it as you being part of the company. Your not, and I am sure GM doesn't want your kind sticking up for them.

Also these posts are a nice break from the REAL world, where us Professionals, have to deal with Smart people on a day to day basis.

Re: Darn Geos! They never learn!

ya you are right, it started as being fun and funny... now it's just boring.

All the f body people at my school (all 6 of them) treat their cars horrible. they never get washed and and most are scratched bad (ofcourse mine is in the far lot with a flat tire waiting for my lug key and one clip on my car bra borke) i swear i have a f body curse, this happened with my old one.

the best is one guy has a miata convertable and thinks he is all that and anopther guy has a four door taurus with a fart muffler

There is one guy on campus that refuses to bring his firebird on, better off he would make me look bad. lol.

Must be a good school... mine was filled with Range Rovers, M3s, RS6s, AMGs, and more done up STIs and Evos then you could shake a stick at. No wonder tuition is near $40K a year, the people are willing to pay for it.

Re: Darn Geos! They never learn!

Camaro site? I guess I'm not welcome on here... maybe I'll delete my user name. Grow up and don't be so ignorant. This guy has done more with his bolt on stang than 90% of this site has with their cars and 355's(example). His car is amazing as I have seen it in pics from the last Mustangs Unlimited show that my buddies went to and his opinions and knowledge is welcomed on this site by many. Stop being dumb and dont turn this into a ford vs. gm thing. For every fast thirdgen or slow one theres a mustang of equal speed. My cars a project too but I'm not ashamed of it or anyhting eventhough its not that fast...maybe

Kind of like the 5 minutes I've wasted on every post you made?

If your done, why don't you stop posting and let people go back to talking about the topic at hand (which is what I was originally doing til you came on and tried to tell me I don't belong here).

Yes I am... if someone wants to go after me, I will go right back. I'm the underdog on this site, and have no problem defending myself when needed. I could easily drop it and take the high road, but I have more fun this way!

I blew mine up at LVD two weeks ago. Slicks, 6000 RPM, dropped the clutch and the car shook. Popped an axle, but it gets all finished today when I go home and fill it with gear lube. I wont be racing on slicks this season, and only have one race left at Etown. Going for a 1.8 60' on the 18s and 12.8s!

Re: Darn Geos! They never learn!

grr, i'm so damn close to 1.x 60's but even so i'll be in the 14's..damned tpi

Look 25th, this is what the whole issue is this, the mustang and camaro are too similar. you ever meet a guy that just got you mad at every turn, and then you think about it later and realize you two are VERY alike? they were built to be within tenths of a second of each other, and to be within hundreds of dollars, thats how competition works. likewise, very similar people are into these cars, usually people a lil high on the testosterone, a lil short on patience, younger guys mostly.. this also leads to our most emotional, and closest races being with mostly mustangs..

in any case you're giving what you're getting here but while i like your car, acknowledge your skill and accomplishment with said car(s?), you aren't contributing much 90% of the time on this board. im sure you COULD and i'm sure that members have goaded you into acting like a *****, hopefuly not me, but i've seen it happen to you more then once. it's old, i'm tired of people dragging you into a pissing match about whatever the case may be, but i'm also tired of having to scroll thru your replies that are just as useless.i mean really you and a board member or two have killed this post despite ten other poeple trying to just talk.

In short, your car is sweet, your times are damn impressive, and a willingness to share expertise is a beautifull thing.

people acting like ******, thirdgen, fox. or import owner aside, is not welcome anywhere. and i mean that to EVERYONE not just you.

Re: Darn Geos! They never learn!

90% of the time I am posting in a Mustang vs Fbody thread, where my knowledge is used, and is actually probably MUCH better than 99.95% of this board. Not sure if you actually read posts but everytime I "get into it" with an Fbody guy, it starts with some comment about how I shouldn't be here... like this post is a perfect example. I made a perfectly fine post about the topic, and someone had to make an attack on me because of a picture of my car. Fine, but you do that, you better believe I am going to be a ***** about it.

I have been here since 2001, have an easy 3500-4000 posts, and never once been told, reprimanded or asked to stop anything. Apparently I have not been doing anything wrong or I would have been banned a long time ago.

All I can say is, if I bother you, put me on the block user list... will not hurt my feelings one bit!

See, but it's comments like these that just make you look like an arrogant fool. You wanna contribute? Fine. But you don't have to be so smug about it.

Re: Darn Geos! They never learn!

dude i DON"t have an issue with you, i'm giving you an impartial 3rd view. i agree you CAN be helpful and i have no feelings for mustang or mustang owners past jelousy of your light weight.

while you CAN and HAVE been usefull, do you feel that this thread has been useful for the last week? the 3rdgenners on here are as much to blame as you, but i doubt you take this much crap on a mustang board, now link those two together. i'd get torn up on a mustang board usefull or not!

my dad use to say, you don't start fights at school, but if someone DOES, you better finish it."

that's for everyone, don't start the crap, but be an adult and let it go, just finish it. is it worth ANYBODY'S time to start or continue crap on here?

I am talking about Mustang knowledge and I will challenge that I have more than almost everyone on this board... We own SEVEN modified Mustangs right this second. We have owned easily 15 in the past 10 years. It's not being smug, it's telling you that when it comes to those cars, I know a lot of stuff from first hand experience. Trust me, and this being a thirdgen site I figure most guys wouldn't want to claim to have a lot of Mustang knowledge.

To be honest I catch **** all the time on Mustang sites for sticking up for Imports, Fbodies, etc... I have no problem arguing, dicussing, whatever you want to call it with anyone. I really don't care what I look like to people on a message board, if I have an opinion, or facts I will state them and argue them if need be.

I come to this site for fun as with everyone else here, to me when someone goes after me, it is fun, gives me more to read than... "yay, I beat a geo metro". And I didn't even start the argument.

Oh yeah I also had my phase where I took the high road with every argument, actually had a big thing happen in the Tri State Mustang community that I took the high road on... I am done with that. You want to tell me I am not supposed to be here because I drive a Mustang, I am going to come back with why I should.
