last night I was sitting at a red light and this guy in a 94 or 95 mustang keep eye balling me. I pointed and he gave me the thumb up. in 5 seconds the light turned green and I hit the gas. in a instant was was 6 cars in front and looked left and saw a cop looking right at me. the cop was shaking his head no. before when we took off he left the traffic light normal like he did not want to race. after I passed the cop over 2 miles back and i was driving the speed limit again he came flying by me like an a$$ hole. at the next light he was laughing and took off on green. I drove behind him for a little while and then floored it passed him in the right lane. I think he saw the cop and tryed to get me busted?

 

probably, gotta keep your eyes open, city racing is hard with parked cops cars off to the sides. you got lucky!

 

ya if i street race i always check the side mirror. if i'm 1.5 car length ahead i slow down and wait to make it more fun. also helps in those situations. lol.

 

Thats happened to me before, Im sure he was trying to set you up.

 

Thats a D***head move. He probably really just didnt want to have to race you and get beat . mustangs.....

 

I don't know that I would personally set someone up, but if someone wanted to go and I saw a cop, I would surely rope him in and watch him get nabbed...

Back on topic, I dunno if the Mustang was baiting you, he might have intended to race, but then saw the cop. Would have been nice if he'd at least have pointed him out. When I race out on the streets, I keep it close, if I pull a big gap, I just lift out, no point in smoking 80mph down the road if you're not still side by side.

 

Yep, that is a hoe move. I have seen/had allot of mustangs let somone think they are going to race and then not, i am sure to being a slow mustang, but i have never seen somone do that.

your most likley right. if I saw a cop I would just drive normal. but when he came back and tailing my A$$ I got pissed Oh another think I hate when you kill someone in a race and then they tail your A$$. My dream would be to press a button and 5 feet of fire would shoot out the exhaust.

 

Kinda funny if you think about it. I proably would have LMAO if that was me. The cop proably thought you were crazy, he didnt pull you so no harm done.

 

Trying to get someone else in trouble like that is lame and just plain low. I had a nice Yellow Mustang pull next to me this summer. We were ready to go and I picked up a strong KA band and warned him before he launched. If you are both car guys looking for a little grudge match, why would you want to get him in trouble? I just do not get some people.

Now if you had some tool pacing and reving at you for the last 5 miles and still doesn't realize you don't want to race, well then...

 

I've done it before but not on purpose I just wanted to get him away from me. I was driving my turbo Datsun back to the base and an SRT-4 pulled up next to me he looked over at me and I nodded when he honked he went for it and I kicked the car out of gear and revved. He took off and got pulled over by the cop that always sits about a 1/4 mile down and I went home ticketless.

 

I've done it before, on purpose. He got busted...

That guy was probaly a cop. They do dirty stuff like that round here in va. They usualy go for the hondas though. Luckily I don't get messed with much

 

we have a cop in a new black mustang tinted windows ect. and he messes with ppl. i have a friend that had a 05 GTO and the cop tried to mess with him at a light so my buddy rolled down his window and told him if he put his badge on the table and if he felt like upseting him cause he wouldnt be able to keep up w/ the gto then he would race him then the light turned green and my buddy just slowly pulled away. you should have seen the look on the cops face lol he was pissed
