Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.27 9bolt
1991 f150 vs. rs

i have a auto 305tbi camaro with an open 2.73 rear. my friend has an extended cab 4.9(v6) 5 speed f150. i should own him right. i also have a 3.27 posi disc 9 bolt i may have time to put in if he wants time to get new tires. i have 84,xxx miles- him 170,xxx

You should murder him, my 86 TA was stock with a 350 TBI and i murdered a 97 F150 swb single cab with a programmed 5.4 and automatic. Good luck!

Those trucks are ridiculously slow dude my brother has a 95 5 speed with 4.9 u'll kill him. I even have 95 5.0 with a 5 speed and ud smoke me too. Not quick trucks at all.

its a v6 fullsize extended cab pickup... with twice the mileage you have.

Thats about as slow as its gonna get.


You dont need the nine bolt for this race. But it will be a nice improvement.

I beat my brother in laws 2005 f150 xcab it has the Triton 5,4 v8 auto,
with my 86 z28 tpi auto, i was about 2 1/2 car leangths ahead at 70mph,
I honestly thought he would win,

First it should be Straight 6 or inline 6 not V6 there was no V6 before 97, but anyway you should have no problem beating him. I used to have a 89 f150 with a 5.slow.....it was really slow.

lady at our local track raced a v6 f150, late 90's model. i believe she ran a 19.2.

You should smoke him. i beat my friends 1995 f150 with a 5.0, headers and straight pipe. I was in my 92 camaro with 3.1 headers, straight pipe and the dual snorkel intake. The torque of his v8 got him off the line alittle faster but after 15 - 20 feet is flew by him.
