Re: Me vs civic
Its not so much insecurity, as it is the hatred of their arrogance. I know it goes both ways.
"Ive got half the cylinders, and Im still faster"
"I bet my little 1.8 liter makes more power than your big gas guzzler V8"
My car is usually older than them too. And its the little, economy v8. But if you try and say that, youre making excuses. I hate FWD cars, and imports alike. Id rather talk to mustang guys than have to talk to the import guys. And alot of the LS1 guys are just as arrogant.
Thats my $.02.
EDIT:
And Ive got basically the same setup as you do, and my best is a 16.20. Thats at Bristol, with an elevation of 1475 ft, I think. At a better track, 15s would be in reach. I can handle most stock civics, until they add boost, or spray. Its a fine line. If hes done any real work, youll lose. Buy another engine, and let the games begin.

I used to have a 305TBI Auto. Now i have everything in my sig. And it is so much funner!!!!
Now to take her to the track or use my G-meter to run the 1/4 when shes done with all her mods. Good luck with your 305 dude, they arn't bad motors at all! Minor mods wake them up quite a bit!
