so my brother and i were driving, my brother driving. and this guy keep driving next to us reving is little engine at us. he was looking at us and giving us bad looks. he then turned up his radio and drove on. so here is the funny part. in my car i have many car emblems everything from ford to toyota for just the time someone starts crap. we pulled up to him at the next red light i was in the passanger side i pulled the ford emblem up out my window spit on it and broke it on the ground. the light turned green we both went for it. we smoke him by about 6 cars. at the next light he tryed running us of the road. he was yelling and red in the face. i think i scard him for life

Ford guys get really mad (especially the tuner guys) when a gen three whips them. I had a chicano in an older nova pull up hastling me like that one night. I guess he thought the rough idle of my cam was a messed up old engine. Matted it to the floor at 25 mph laid a little rubber and left him in the dust. At the next light I waved and laughed. I couldn't even get him to look back, let alone try to run me again.

i rember i had a guy in a civic was doing that with me. he came up revv his engine and started to blast his stock system. me being in highschool and rather cocky responed with my 2 12s, open cut out and a nitrous purge. the look on his face of priceless. it looked like he **** a brick. i beat him so badly i did the whole ***** flash the hazzards on him and when he tried to do the ***** flyby i was able to pull him so he couldnt pass me.

When my wife and I were 17-18 "The Fast and Furious" had just come out. I had (still have) an '88 35th Anniversary Corvette. Kids from EVERYWHERE would come out of the sticks at redlights in their Hondas with big fart cans and try and race us. We'd ignore them till the light went green, and then laugh our asses off after we beat them. Good fun.

everyone always ask how much horse power do I have. then when I say about 230 HP they laugh. they think its slow and there 250 HP nissan will takecare of it. but there is something I see people always overlooking. Its torque. about 330 lbs. that something we have but most imports don't. we rule the stoplight and I will never ever do a rolling start.

i beat the imports either way... at a red light or doing 60mph on the highway

dont be afraid of a roll race... just get more power. heads/cam swap or some nitrous. either one would be less than a grand. thirdgens werent designed from the factory to be top end performers, but with a few mods, they can own from a stop AND a roll

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about being proud of what you DO have and making the most of it on what you can afford to do but come on, if you have a car that runs an 11.90 1/8th mile time don't talk trash. I remember when Amy had her 95 Mercury XR7, it ran low 10's (1/8th mile), which ain't bad for a big old heavy car, bone stock. Anyway, we'd take the cars out on street legal night and play around. One time this kid in a Honda with his girlfriend in his car raced her and he's all talking trash like, "Is that your grandmamma's car?" Yeah, but it's a V8. She ran her usual 10.09 kid runs 11.56 :O Needless to say she couldn't resist telling him "My grandmammas car just spanked your ***"
