86 Camaro v6 vs 92 Sunbird 4cyl

My friend has a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird, and he swears that it is faster than my 86 Camaro v6. My car has K&N filters and is other wise stock with a good tune up and an automatic transmission. His is a completely stock 2.0 mpfi 4cylinder automatic. My car has 56K miles compared to his 200+k miles. I know that the Sunbirds weigh about 4-500lbs less than a v6 thirdgen, but would that make up or the power difference?.. due to some personal reasons, his mother stole the car to go back to her home town which is 300 miles away, and chances are she isn't coming back, so it will be awhile until this race actually happens. When it does, however, I will post the results.

You should beat him. The V6 Camaro for that year had 135HP and 160FT. of torque. The 1992 Sunbird had approximately 110HP and 124FT. of torque. Hardly a race considering you've got more power, and more torque. The weight difference is a consideration, however, you should wax the floor up with his car. Those cars even have a turbocharged Inline 4 for that year but you didn't say it had that. If it did then you would be more evenly matched, power for power.

Oh, I forgot to mention that if it's an automatic it's only a 3 speed car. If it's a manual then it has a 5 speed.
