Re: Who would win?
given the numbers, you should win... i had a 2.8l camaro and i couldnt beat anything in that car, the 3.1l isnt much stronger/faster than the 2.8l...
but the stratus is a crap car...
i think youll have a chance given the numbers...

Re: Who would win?
You should win because I mean the is only about 40 pounds difference and a 2 hp difference but yours has a lot more torque for getting off the line better (well not really alot more but yeah). Also yours is rear wheel drive and from what I have heard rear wheel drive cars put more power to the road. However someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Who would win?
There is less of a percentage of drive train loss in FWD cars, so RWD does not put more power to the ground.

Win is what ever car is running better condition wise. His gears are probably 3.42s.

Re: Who would win?
Both are common gears for v6 3rd gens from what I have seen.
Also doesn't matter how much of a pos the stratus seems v6 3rd gens are tech "pos" too by that logic.

Re: Who would win?
Ok, my friend and i were laughing about the idea. Knowing that I have a fighting chance to beat a dodge sedan like his, we'll do it. Thanks guys, both for the input and the humor. More input would prove to be funny I have no doubt, for all of us for sure...

Re: Who would win?
2002 stratus 2.4 - 1/4 mile 17.3
1990 camaro 3.1 - 1/4 mile 17.3
Should be close based on the rated times. It's going to be a drivers/ launch based race.
And FYI RWD cars DO NOT have less power loss to the wheels than FWD. FWD cars have much less since the only thing coming out of the tranny is the front axles which connect directly to the wheels. RWD cars have a large driveshaft as well as a rear axle where the power has to make a 90 degree turn to the wheels.

Ricepattie5, where did you get your info on vehicle weight? 3086 is light even for a race car. Do you have any weight reduction?
