I've been bad mouthed by a couple guys with VR4's.

I was told that these cars are the fastest door slammer car out there.

I don't know much about a VR4...but what makes these cars so special?

How fast are these things?!

 

Stock VR4s run between 13.5 to 14.0 usually depending on the year if launched right.

 

VR4s have a twin turbo v6 with all wheel drive. Thats why they move pretty good.

 

Yea I think they make about 320hp and 360tq that puts them in late model 4th gen power territory but they are heavy about 3800lbs

 

i ran neck and neck with one in a header/exhaust modded L98 car...they can move quick but arent that fast by todays standards

 

Lol fastest door slammer. They are quick, but not all that quick.

They are pigs.......very heavy and the AWD is good for launching but eats power as sppeds progress. The ohter thing is that they must be launched at about 4k+ in order to run faster than a 14 second 1/4 mile time. They are not that fast and as they are quite old most are beat to hell any way.

I'm not trying to start a bash on the car, I'm a car enthusiast and I like anything fast.

The car's actually gotta nice sporty look to it, but I still love my third gens a lot more. lol

I just wanted a couple facts about the car because obviously I've been misinformed, and it just seems like anyone who owns one has usually gotta big head.

 

Yea their owners additudes are similar to the people I remember in colleges who had ls1 cars. They are not the ultimate in bad *** but the important thing to remember is with minor turbo mods they can be an easy 12 sec or lower not really a slow car but then again the the best thing on 4 wheels and yea they are heavy I think about 3700 lbs
