What do ya think it will run?
What do ya think it will run?
What do you think a 305 will run with:
'88 305 TPI 5 speed has 350 cam
Exhaust:
SLP 1 3/4" headers with 3" y pipe, 3" pipe for cat, 3" hooker catback
Intake:
Siamiezed/ported Plenum, ported SLP runners, fully ported manifold (all gasket matched)
with
Ported 305 heads
im thinking high 13's if its tuned right.

It ran 14.95 @ 95 mph before any mods now it has the hooker cat back and im in the process of porting all that stuff and im ordering the SLP headers yeah the 5 speed 305 got the 350 cam....

Yea, get some drag radials and some 3.42s like my car. I hit 14.4 stock for fun all day long w/just the free mods. I gained 2mph with the headers and also gained a tenth on the 60ft thats why my times didnt go down. I think I coulda pulled off a 14.1 @ 96mph if I had some nice tires. Don't go higher than 3.42s I think they perfectly match our 305 5spds and that may drop a tenth or two. You have almost everything I did except you don't have gears. When you ran a 14.95 @ 95mph that trap speed is good for 14.4. What was your 60ft? Thats kinda odd, also, a quick mod to gain a mph and drop a tenth, underdrive pulleys. I've talked to a bunch of people and they say it will drop you a tenth and gain a mph. It takes about one hour to install and a few trips to the part store to get your correct belt. Welp, don't forget some drag radials, I pulled 2.16 60fts, try and get a 1.9 and I think you got 13.9

Also, if you really wanna hit lower times, powershift her, I can get my car sideways on the street powershifting her into 2nd. Just let the clutch cool down after runs or you will be paying for a new one.
