88 GTA SUPERCHARGED! vs. 96 corvette
I know i've posted this challenge before, but I've come across the opportunity to get a supercharger for a deal. My 88 GTA is a bone stock 350 with 80,000 miles on drivetrain.
Adding this blower will get me approx 90-100hp i believe, close race, should I do something else to get a win against a stock 96 vette? I'm sure I should do some mods to work well with the charger but i have no idea what. any input y'all? thanks. ..

By the output in power you mentioned it sounds like a 6psi Vortech unit. Add a 50 HP nitrous system to act as an intercooler. Just make sure you have a very good supply of fuel. This combo would put you close to a 200 HP increase. Plenty to beat the Vette.

make sure you have the proper fuel to accomodate for the blower...also make sure your exhaust is up to par...more air in means more air out...also though...like it was stated before a 50 shot is a good idea..cools the air charge down

Thanks guys, I do plan on getting a complete exhaust upgrade from flowmaster, including a high-flo cat & str8er pipes. Also a new fuel pump. The nitrous i'll have to read up on more.
What about bigger fuel injectors, pistons, etc, should i upgrade those as well or anything else?

Not rebuilding the engine, hoping it will hold up with about 5-6psi of boost from the charger.
I was thinking new injectors as well, 30's I guess.
As for a chip, I have a JET chip stage 2 that I haven't put on yet. Is that what you meant?
Power adder board - they are slow & rarely respond! That's why it's here.
Thanks y'all for anymore tips!

A friend had a 1987 Formula 350 with a Paxton way back in 1991. The car ran 14.4 at 95 on the motor and 12.9 at 109 on the Paxton. He did have TES and Banks exhaust, but were are talking 1991, when he would eat up all but the fastest GNs. Unless its a LT4 Vette, he has no chance.
