I believe some of the crown vics have the 8s in them... hey dont put your head down to that
...just go for something in the same hp range. That would be like me goinging after a L98 it just aint going to happen.. Try z24s (80s) then put some mods on the car and start going for bigger fish..I'm not one to talk but I'm trying to make my car a little faster.. good luck.. BTW try going to cars.com and find cars you think you might race and check HP and torque stats..thats what I do

Don't be ashamed losing to a crown vic..There's a kid I work with who has a Crown Vic with a 351 in it and he has mods..That thing is quick and almost beat my friend's LX notchback 5.0 which is running mid 13's or so. I wouldn't feel too bad about losing to one.

Actually, i'm not too suprised. Remember now that the crown vic is the base for a cop car and most of them have V8s. Yeah its a big car but its not a weak big car, i mean look at the impala SS. BTW don't race minivans! Some of those run low 17s and some are even faster than that suprisingly, and thats enough to give the 2.8 a run. I'm not tryin to diss on your car i'm just saying so you don't feel REAL bad if it happens, aright?

A couple things:
1) ALL Crown Vics since the very early '80s have had a 302 or 4.6 V8 standard. When they restyled the Vic in '92, the 4.6 became standard equipment
2) There is no such thing as a factory, supercharged Police Interceptor Crown Vic...let alone a Vic that can do 180. For christ sakes, Z06 Vettes that have WAY better aerodynamics don't even do 180!
