How fast is this going to be?

Its in an 82 Z28, the 350 was just rebuilt, heavily ported 882 heads, Gm151 cam, edelbrock torker intake, performer 750 carb, bout 8.75:1 compression, ( flat tops with 4 valve reilifs, with 76cc chambers), headman long tube headers 1 5/8 primaries, 3 inch collectors, then th 350 tranny, stage 2 shift kit, 2.73 out back, and for now no exaust system installed.
How fast will that be? Now what if I changed the rear to a 3.23 posi and compcams extream energy cam, EX-268, and a 2000 stall, then what would I be turning.

I dunno much about those heads I'm not familiar with them, but with traction I dunno I'd say mid 13's but I'm not the best estimator in the world. I have the tendency to overestimate how fast a car should really be so take it with a grain of salt.

I was thinking the same thing. You'll probably need to step up the compression ratio to fully take advantage of that intake/carb combo. I'm thinking more in the lines of 9.5:1 or higher.

Well I think its around that, I was shooting for 10:1, I told the engine builder to get me around 10:1 with the 76cc heads. He picked flat tops with the valve reiliefs, then he boared the engine to the piston specs. He said it should yeild 10:1 but with 76cc heads I highly doubt that. Any ways, what if I put a set of vortec heads on this thing? I also have a set of 302 heads from a 69 camaro, but I have those on my other camaro.

What do you think my other camaro runs, It has those 302 heads, flat tops, 4 blt mains, HP hydralic lifters , performer 750 carb, performer manifold. Unknown cam, stock exaust. Same drive train specified in my previous post. This car moves it has the 2.73's P275/60R15's on it Th-350 w/shift kit. Traction is ok, unless I brake stand it then I spin all over. But when it shifts form 1st to 2nd it leaves a strip 12 feet long. This is when left in drive and it shifts at 4000 rpm. Beats just about everything it has came up against. I know its not much info, but what do you think this one is running in the 1/4?

That will never run to it's best until you raise the compression.Or maybe put nitrous or blower on it with that compression. That woud wake it up.
