I disagree.. The only thing you have on that car is weight. Your car is about 800lbs lighter but the mustang has probly 25 more HP.. The stang also has a lot better gearing.... You do have a little bit more torque though..

I think you will lose by about 1/2 car length up to about 65.. More if you go past that... Those TBI's are really..ugh.. I have one too, so i'm not bashing you by any means..

I think he was referring to the new Mustangs the convertible V6 is the slowest. And yes the mid 80's were terrible. My last car was an '85 4banger 4spd. LX coupe, that thing was incredibly slow, I got beat by a neon. But it did get 25mpg which I miss.

You think that was slow? at least you had a 4-spd! I had an automatic '90 LX. 88HP at the flywheel and maybe 60HP at the wheels?

I think he's probably going to pull you. With a ****ty driver, they should still run 16.0 or slightly lower. What does your car run?

i drove a brand new v-6 stang my parents rented about a week ago. it's not fast by any means, but vs. TBI... . . Just make sure it's from a dead stop, the car i drove had virtually no torque.
