Dodge is making a new Intrepid for the police. Its got a 242 HP 3.5 V6, and can hit around 150 mph. I dont think they will be wearing the usual lights and badging, so everyone be careful of these bastards.

I dunno i had an intrepid 3.5 liter with 220 horsepower or so and I handed a smart *** kid I go to school with his *** in a race. And he drives a 84' z28..I'm just waiting for dodge to get off their *** and build a car with a hemi motor in it. Rumors are that it will be put into the concorde/intrepid..that would be an interesting car.

On my way to Lebanon Valley Dragway, somewhere on the Mass Pike, I saw a BRAND NEW ram air firebird setting up with a radar trap. My response was, "Thats no fair" but then again I'm sure a Crown Victoria could catch the Blazer towing the Mustang.

 

Most highway patrol cars are pretty peppy as it is, anything short of a Ferrari or Lamborghini is going to be caught up to. You can't outrun the cops 99% of the time, the speed of the car is thus irrelevent. I know that they are already driving souped up specially outfitted Camaros which do 150+ and I wouldn't be surprised if as stated above that a lot of cops use Firebirds.

Not in MN they aren't. They just have Crown Vic's with a bigger radiator and aftermarket suspension. Those bastards will have a tough time even trying to catch me (not like I run from the cops on a regular basis...or ever for that matter)

 

wanan hear a couple funny things.....

first thing

i live in a REALLY small town and crap and we HAD 2 camaro SS cop cars and then they got rid of them for a impala,intrepid,and a mustang GT

and we have a couple tahoes too and a explorer

i dont see why we need all these cars for a town with a population of under 2000

another thing is that my friend has a honda accord and he LOVES to go fast

well he was doin like 120 or so on a country road goin home and this (tahoe) cop clocks him and starts to chase him and my friend outruns him and he didnt even notice the cop was behind him until he came to a stopsign and the cop finally caught up.....and then they took him in and stuff and they screwed up on the paper work and they didnt do anything about him and let him go


but yah we do have one of those intrepid cars...but i havent seen it in action...i did see the camaros and mustangs in action b4...man they are FAST!!!!
