pantera ..v.s..69 hemi charger

 

Uhhh what are the specs on the two cars.
Its like saying who would win a blue Camaro or a black firebird..???

 

What year Pantera, the early ones had 350 to 400 hp ford motors (351s) in em and the later mid to late 70s ones had a Chrysler engine in em not making a whole lot of power, the Hemi in street tune is somewhat of a dog, now tune it up a bit (jet carb, set timing curve) and put some sticky tires on it and it should run 12s all day long.

I'd say charger, better 1/4 mile gearing. Pantera's were made more for road racing I believe.

 

charger would take it in the 1/4..top speed would go to the pantera however..

Cobrakiller and racnoth are right. I believe that anyone with a hemi takes care of it, and they at least put some decent tires on it, if not any carb work. I raced an early 70's pantera in my LO3, and I inched on him. They weren't designed with drag racing in mind. I made a post of it a few weeks back, and there were some interesting responses. -Randy

 

I'm sure the charger would win stock for stock, but man I'd love to watch that race.

We'll just leave that little problem we were having in the other thread over there and get on with our lives.
