it feels so good....
it feels so good....
Tonight while I was traveling home from seeing my girlfriend I get behind this 70's model Chevrolet Pickup. Its lowered in the front and has wide tires on the back, it is really loud and is quite obviously a large v8... so I'm following this guy down a two lane road at about 12 midnight... I'm not following this guy too close but he slams on the brakes as if to make me slam into him, I avoid it... that made me quite angry, and then he did it again, so now I know we are coming up on a straight away that isn't quite a quarter mile long, we are doing almost 50 because the idiot had just hit his brakes again, so I leave it in third gear, we hit the straight away and I floor it and move into the other lane, for a moment it seems that I'm going nowhere, It would appear that my fears have came true, My 3.1L isn't gonna be able to pull on this pickup... but I shift to fourth and what happens??? well, I start pulling on this guy hard, as I pass him I can hear his truck, its wound tight, drowning out the sound of my flowmaster (with gutted cat) so he is for sure racing me... we hit about 100 and there is a curve coming, I check my mirror and I'm about a car and a half ahead of him now... so I make the curve ok, some squealing tires but all is well... and I'm victorious, this is my first v8 kill... and he deserved it, he was being an a$$...
oh it feels so good....
i'm still shaking all over from it...
hahahahaha

What truck with a V8, I'm assuming it would be a 350, could not pull on a 6cyl Camaro. For one the truck has a larger engine and is way lighter. You know, just because it had wide tires doesn't mean it had a V8. Either way you beat him and good job, I just think there wasn't a V8 in it.
edit:
Just noticed it was a 70's pickup, are they the huge ones before the S10's came out? At first I was thinking of being an S10, why I don't know.

It coulda just been a ******* with big wide tires, a whipped stock engine, and blown out exhaust. Seen my share of those around here.
Not that only rednecks have vechicles like that, or all of them for that matter. Just painting a picture.
You got the best of some *** who was trying to mess with ya. Thats the bottom line. Good job.

well, no it was a V8.. I'd say it was a 350.. it has a nice sound to it.. I've seen it around town... Its a friends dad's truck, and he takes care of his vehicles... I'd say the drag (wind) was the only thing that won it for me... I know he has more power than me but I just pulled at high speeds...
