Cammed LG4 vs mild bolt on L98?

I've got two 3rd gens. One is a 86 Firebird, 305, edelbrock performer, 650 carb, 416 heads, XE268 cam, summit shortys, SLP LM1 exhaust off a 02, and its a 5 speed with I'm thinking 3.08 gears, 70 @ 2k. The other one is a L98 Iroc, 700r4, 3.42s, hedman headers and y, and a flowmaster muffler, and all the intake mods for the TPI (baffles and screens removed with k and ns). The 305 car feels a million times stouter than the 350 car. Is that normal? My question is which car should be faster? The cammed 305 or the L98?

5 speed cars always feel faster seat of the pants.

350 will run in the low 14's if everything is good, you will run mid to high 14's if you car is on the $.
