Camaro Wheelie
Camaro Wheelie
This is kind've street racing but I couldnt figure out what other forum to put it in. Did anyone ever see that video online of the guy driving a 3rd gen camaro, (88 maybe?) that pulls a massive wheelie and almost flips it over then when he comes back down it looks like he blows first or 2nd gear? Whats that car got in it? I saw it the other day and it looks really really cool, the car sounds like it has so much power to it.
No I dont. You can find it on Morpheus, search for sick camaro wheelie. Theres a site listed on the video called rankinroad.com Could be on there but I havent checked. I could send it through you through E-mail if you would like to also.

No I think you have to be a member or something like that. It doesnt work for me either. I can send it to you through email, its pretty good. I got that and a GTO doing a nice wheelie too
Please send me the E-Mail. bwstewart@charter.net. How the heck do you become a member. It seems like it would be a cool sight. I could't find the Morpheus thing either. It kept comeing up as a record company. I tried a search engine and .com and .net but I could not find it. Are there vids on that sight also?

I just seen it.
Id say a 2.1@500mph
Yeah 2.5 seems about right lol. Thats gotta be scary though, looking straight up with no control. You can hear him let go off the throttle to to come back down. I'll send you the vid lethal. Try to download morpheus, search for it on lycos, thats where I found it but I'll send you the email anyways. It takes a extreme amount of power to do that, hes gotta have over 600 horse.

Pretty cool video. If anyone wants it, I put it up on my server. I'm running off a cable connection so the download shouldn't be too bad.
Camaro Wheelstand Video
Also, for anyone else who just can't get enough of the wheelstand videos (like myself), here's one of Craig Zurman's 9.0x second Renegade car.
Anyone else got any more movies?

Yea, wheel stands like that usually come from an 8 - 9 second car. Here's another we dug up of a guy that actually ended up riding out about a 3 - 4 foot wheelstand to an 8.46 and still winning:

Here's an old one from Rankin Road which I saved. I got this before the site went into what looks like lockdown. I think the 3rd gen lost
but at least a camaro still won
(Have to do the right click save target as or it won't work)

I'm downloading a bunch of camaro short clips, how do I post them. Or if you want just IM me, I'm always connected to the net and on a LAN so I should be able to send files fast.

I wish I could find the video or the pictures of it, but at the end of the last race of the 2000 NMRA or FFW season (can't remember which one of the two it was) Tommy Trotter's outlaw car did a wheelstand coming off the line and actually flipped over

Here it is. My scanner software isn't working for some reason, so I snapped some pics out of MM&FF with the dig. camera. Sorry for the quality, but this was too scary not to share.
Good news is that the driver was ok and returned for the 2001 season.

Wow I just saw this other video of a 2nd gen vette and a viper going at it both HEAVILY modified and 20 feet off the line the vette loses control and TOTALLY destroys the car. Its so sad.

From left to right starting at the top...
"Outlaw racer Tommy Trotter leaves wheels up on route to what seems an easy win."
"Climbing higher and higher the GT continues to wheelstand until all 4 wheels are off the ground."
"Unable to do much of anything, Trotter hangs on for his life as his Mustang flips over backwards and skates down the track on its roof."
"With parts and sparks flying everywhere, the GT finally comes to a stop against the Raceway Park retaining wall and catches fire. Luckily for Trotter there is enough time and space between the car and wall for him to squeeze out the passenger side window before the car becomes completely engulfed in flames. Trotter escaped with only minor burns on his hands."

Hey guys, I got a couple more videos. Ones of a big Corvette crash, then I have a REALLY REALLY good one of a 1200 hp Nissan Skyline flying past another car at 205 mph inside a tunnel, its not a f-body but its still cool. I also got one of a GTO doing a wheel stand.

Big slicks 500 horsepower and a transbrake will usually do the trick of pulling a wheel or 2. My car should be capable of it, but i cant afford slicks or a transbrake.... so i live with tire spin.
