what do you guys think? hypothetically speaking of course..
`95 5.0 gt stang, auto, procharger supercharger. stock everywhere else basically, against the mighty `89 Turbo trans am.
stock gt's are 215hp/285tq, charger would put it well over 300hp.
think the t/a would still win?
if not, what few minor mods should be done to a stock tta to do so?
(those who have a tta/gn please answer that one)
thanks!

Well first off can the stock GT fuel sytem handle that kinda boost to make well over 300 HP??
TTA mods would be simple, remove stock air box and replace with a 9in cone style K&N($30), adjustable FPR($50), chip($20), adj Wastegate($5 make your own) for more boost this would net 12's easy on a good tune.
Put on a cat back exhaust($275), change to a race chip($20) with race gas($6/gal need 5 gal) and then some sticky tires($300), LOW LOW 12 high 11's for the TTA.

The intercooled P1SC kit will put the GT very close to the 12.9 - 13.0 range provided it's otherwise pretty much stock. Gears or a torque converter will definitely get it in the 12's.
Save for the injectors and fuel pump, which I believe are included with the kit, the fuel system in the Mustang is capable of supporting around 500-600 hp.

Surely you mean the fuel pump and injectors that come with the kit will support that level power????Originally posted by Nic

500-600 HP requires somewhere near a 50-55#/hr injector, i was unaware that the SC kits supplied that big of an injector???
What are the stock injectors in a 95 rated to??

The kit won't come with injectors that big because it alone isn't going to make 500-600 horsepower. What I'm saying is that the stock stuff, besides the injectors and fuel pump, will support 500-600 horsepower. Obviously, 19lb injectors and an 105 lph fuel pump won't. Most of the supercharger kits come with 30 or 36 lb injectors and an FMU.

The auto is what kills the stang, but I have a friend with a similar combo, on a 99 GT. It stock came with a little more hp and with a Procharger at 11 psi she goes 11.8 with an auto convertable and minor bolt ons. Going off that I would put the 95 at a mid to high 12, depending on the boost level.

Doing the math 36# in a V8 will support 460/hp approx, so to be safe in the 500-600 range youd need bigger.
19# will support approx 243hp.
I run 50#'s but since i have only 6 they are only good for approx 480 hp.

You're right on shrp. Most of the guys in the 500 hp range are running 42# injectors.
