Ok I have been racing this guy in a Monty Carlo.........We have raced 6 times in the past week..................I beat him 5 times and by at least 3 cars . So Wensday night I raced him again and the same story I beat him AGAIN ......
I was sitting over at my buddys house watching him rebuild a E4ME Carb, when I get a call. Its the same guy that I have been racing, He says lets go again, So I figure sure, I just have to put more on him then ever befor.....................Well we get out there and this time I have about 20 of my friends out there to see how bad I stomp him.
THE RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!


We go to the local street 1/4 mile mark off............I do my burn out.........Smoke goes everywhere .......He tries to do his burnout but all his car does is raise up and PING bad......He says thats good.......We line up get flagged and we're off........I get him out of the hole by 3 cars.... "from what my friends say" and I hold that distance for at lease half of the 1/4.......Thinking one more kill for me ...But he comes flying past me ...all the car is doing is Pining as he goes past me....and beats me but 2 or 3 cars.......... ...............
He said that he didn't do anything to his car but I think different because everytime we race he has to go home after the race.....never gives a reason why..........
So I think he got some Hoseage and decided he wanted to wax me............
This is what I am going to do..........Right now I have 2.73's in the bird.......so I am going to change that this weekend going to 3.42's and I am going to borrow my buddys slicks and beat the living crap out of him.......I should get him so bad out of the hole he won't have a chance......and when he asked what I did to my car I will say..............................................Nothing it's all in the tires

What do you guys think????

Sounds like he's got NOS, but you know what they say: "Bottles are for babies" lol

 

 

If it is really pinging that bad, just keep racing him until he blows the engine. Then you will really have the last laugh. If you wait a week he might blow it up before you get to race him again.

If hes running NOS and pinging badly, I would try to get him to race like 3 or 4 times in a row, and sit back and wait for him to blow it up.

 

Oh I am going to keep racing him, but do you guys think that with the gear change and slicks I could hose him with out the hose.........by the way my car last run a 14.23

 

Ok idrag2, what are your mods seriously??? You have nitrous? you have different heads?? ok tell us your secrets of your 14.2 run with an auto L03 and 2.73 rear

 

If he really has nitrous you "might" not beat him. But if his motor is pinging that bad he's gonna blow it !

Thoes are my mods, That I know of.........as far as the engine goes I can tell you that its a Target Master Create Motor.....so it is very well possiable that it is board....maybe some head work but I doubt it. I don't think they would put out the effort to port and polish the heads....but I fully understand why you say that.......all of my other friends say the same thing.....I have a friend with the same car but the stock engine and gear ratio all he runs is in the 15's........so I could not tell you anything more because I have no clue....but when I put my 350 in "hopefully in a few months" I will tare down the LO3 and let you know.
On the other hand I talked to the guy that I have been racing and he swears he did not have NOS........I'm thinking..but anyway I will have my gears in this week and my buddy said I can borrow his slicks anytime I need them.........and this time I will try to have someone tape the whole thing and I will post it on here "if the other MODERATORS don't mind..........


BTW if I can find someone close to me with a scanner I would be happy to post my time slips.....

Bottles are for babies? Ehh. blow me. You can whine and complain about it being "cheating" all you want. Doesn't change the fact you would get beat.

i have to agree that nitrous is cheating. i believe its for people who either dont have the cash to or dont have the skill to build a good motor themselves. its like steroids in my opinion. its just not fair that some lazy person can plunk down $400 and spend maybe a few hours, and spray someone out who took his time and built his motor right. what happens if you get challenged, and your ready to go, only to realize that your supply of liquid courage is all used up? all of a sudden your car aint so f**kin bad, is it? all throttle, no bottle

 

All throttle and no bottle. Is all i say. I dont use bottle except for once at track to get a time a car, but never for racing. To much wear an tear.
