Beat a C4 badly

He tried it from a 50mph roll. I slipped it into 4th and pulled alittle. Ahhh **** it I figured lets just drop another one 3rd and pulled harder. Hell lets just give him the 10th degree. Dropped it into 2nd and just raped his ***. Man those things are slow. :hail:

keep that story going buddy

you expect me to believe you pulled on a C4 in 4th gear at 50 in a no midrange quad cam car....... Remember when theyre not racing you its not a kill

I said pulled alittle. Then he might not have been racing I dont know. But after I dropped it into 2nd it didnt matter much if he was racing or not.

Even if he was trying, long tube runner setups arent good from a roll. From a dead stop things would be much different, until you get some gear.

99 Cobra, wasn't that the SLOW year for Corbra's? I noticed that you don't have gears. And you rolled a C4, more .

If he wasn't racing it don't count.

From 60mph down my Z drops into second and uh yeah it would matter.

If you have gears or the fix please disregard previous statements :hail:

C4 vettes werent all long tube L98s ....most likely an LT1. That is unless he raced an 84-91 - In which case the story becomes a bit more believable.

vortecfcar,
You are 100% correct, but IMO for him to even have a chance it would have had to have been an older car.

Wait a minute...

98 was the "slow" year for Cobras...But ford spent all of 99 fixing the 98's with intake manifold and exhaust work to get advertised power.

Were there even cobras made in 99? (other than cobra R's)

Or am I thinking of 2000?

Your thinking of 2000, the Cobras in 99 were the ones all the contoversy was about. 50mph in 4th and you beat him, I doubt it, but in 2nd at 50mph then I believe you.

MY BRAIN =

I've got my years mixed up.

Still, IMO a race isnt a race unless its from a dead stop, and you have some idea the other driver wants to go (rev, wave, etc)

a 99 cobra "beating a C4 badly". dont know if i believe that. ive got a C4 (its one of the "slower" ones), and i run mid 13s with less than $700 in it (and ive got some major tuning issues to deal with). now, at a 50mph roll you might take me (ive only got 2.59 gears), but you certainly wont kill me. why dont you come up to DE and try mine, one thats actually racing. ill have you bending over in no time

My corvette was of the second-slowest year of the c4 vette (first year of tpi) and it can turn low 14's stock. I don't know what cobras run but i'm guessing 13's. C4's aren't slow at all with the exception of '84 vettes with the cease-fire 350. That i can believe, otherwise

Oh blah blah, it wasn't a LT1 by any means. I think it was the slower years. I *think* the wheels were the older ones. But seeing how I am a Ford guy I dont know what I am talking about with Chevys. Like I said I didn't beat him badly until I reached about 5,000rpms in 2nd at 50mph. Im sure the Vette guy was wondering how many gears I was gonna drop. LOL anyways not here to cause any trouble so ones that dont believe me :lala: ones that do believe me :lala: Keep up the good work guys and take care of those third gens!!! See less and less nice ones around now days.

Im afraid with those mods my friend you are going to have to try alittle harder to beat me. BTW, my sig is very not up to date. If I knew you well enough to take your word and you made the drive to beat you worth my while in money then yea I would take the offer. But you just trying to be Mr. Hard *** on the net....take it to someone that cares. :nono:
