85 Vette + 125 shot VS STOCK 2002 Z28
85 Vette + 125 shot VS STOCK 2002 Z28
Well the 6 speed Camaro is stock but it has been dynoed on a mustang dyno which usually read less than Dynojet dynoes do. It had 274 RWHP and 290 RWTQ. On a dynojet I think that would be somewhere around 300.
The vette has the 4+3 tranny, 125 shot, and a Superram intake. It has the iron heads with NON centerbolt valve covers.
We ran em from a 20 mph kick and I was in the camaro. The vette pulled a car and we started to pull back up towards the end of 3rd gear but we ran into traffic. The next time we ran from a dead stop and all we did was spin. The last and final run was also from ma dead stop, and the vette backfired through the intake.
We thought the vette motor was blown until we discovered it wasnt getting spark and the damn distributor wire has somehow been disconnected.
Still cool that a stock camaro came that close

race them again when the Vette is running right, as it should be a close race. you figure that the C4 is in the low 14 sec range stock, and add 125hp to that and youd be in the high 12s. by the way... that superram on a stock motor is a little overkill and may actually be hurting performance. its like bolting a 750 cfm race carb onto a 305

Yep the vette when running right should be running in the high 12 sec. range and that superram is most definitely overkill on a stock motor.
