ok well I did end up having some bad *** engine damage.
Now my engine is a ticking time bomb. Isnt it fun?
So now my cars just gonna sit for a while until I can find money to replace the engine. If I cant get a good deal than screw it, im selling the car.

How much u asking for it?
And what exactly is bad *** engine damage?
I'm seriously interested in it, provided the price is right.
Once the Time-bomb runs, I'll take it.
Thanx.

Well,

Ive had over $1500 of mechanic work done to this car since I bought it. It has new tires, and when I bought the car I got all new shocks and suspention. I also fixed up the stearing and got new brakes. I just replaced the front fender also. So the front is looking much better, and is in much better shape. I also fixed the heating and heater core. I took care of this car.
THe engine damage is umm.. something bad that I know, I forgot what my friends dad told me (hes a mechanic). Its bad thou.
He said cheapest to go buy a used one. But ill see
if I cant afford it, ill have to sell it. Thats when we will be in touch.
ill send u pictures if you want.
But im really gonna put up a fight, and selling it is truely my last resort. This car has been truely good with me I have to say. Got me there and back no problems.

350's are a dime a dozen, just check out the tri-ad... and spend the time to read the ads with no pictures.

$1500...that's it! Just buggin ya. When I bought my car, just to get the safety cost me $1400! But I know you are young...I was there too way back when and it's not easy. I remember barely being able to afford the gas to drive to school.

Just hang in there buddy.

Ummmm....you might want to get used to it. Toys never come cheap. I'm inching close to $60G for mine. And that's not even including the high rise hood I'm having fabricated now. The things we do for our cars!

I bought my car certified and e-tested for 7500, but I have put quite a bit into it trying to find the gutless problem, which was the ECM, then I did a whole bunch of stuff. Ph, I am gonna need new back tires soon too, ask Trigger why, he knows.. LOL

Prolly a spun bering. That's how I finally smoked my 305 (on aviation fuel with timing at ~40* total).

Another question to everyone...

Now lets say I get by this, is there anyone who would seriously help me out?
I might have the problem solved..
But I would need someone who knows cars for future problems. or mabye up coming problems.

I used the blue stuff... I can't believe they actually gave it to me. It was fun... You need to get someone who actually KNOWS what they are doing to check out your car. A spun bering isn't something you can just figure out. That involves bottom end work at a minimum. I would check it out if I was in your area, but I'm not.

:sillylol: very good but for the record
red is called 80/87 witch is it's octain/heptain
blue is call 100 low lead
green is called 100/130

red is high in lead but would be the better one to use in a low compresion engine
blue is much lower in lead content and would work better in a high compression engine(higher than 10:1)
green, dont even think about it

however you should not run ANY type of avition gas. run race gas its cheaper

what do you meen by "But I would need someone who knows cars for future problems. or mabye up coming problems."
if you open up your engine dont expect to just replace the one broken part. you will likly find many part needing to be replaced or very worn and on the way to breaking. It is also very hard to tell when somthing is going to break down and most likly will not be right if a guess was made.

He's right...$500 can sometimes get you a recently rebuilt one...borrow the money off someone for it, then sell off you block as is for a couple hundred to make some of it back. Try the Buy&Sell mag as well.

ok people I think I found something,

I found a 1982 Camaro Berelintta 305 V8 LG4
it runs and everything... my buddy says not to buy it for the swap.
The car is $400, he says I should buy a 305 propane engine and just change it to gasoline. He says that the L03 to LG4 is a expensive swap and that the propane 305 would be better.
whats ur word?

The LG4 might make it tough for emissions... It is not comp controlled, so it would be a big swap. As for propane, any engine can be converted to propane, you'll have to be more specific.

Your right about the emissions, but the engine is a 82 thou!
no no also,
The engine is a 305 that runs on propane right now,
and we will convert it to a gasoline.
Cheaper or not?

Today I looked into a 88 IROC but the freaking BLock was cracked so Its pointless to buy it. Im gonna go ask around right now and go to a few junkyards and find a decent engine.

Dave,

When/if you get something else and you dont need the Throttle Body unit I would flip you some cash for it (not much they go cheep at the junker, probably $40, but I would check it out before hand to make sure it was a fair price). I have a couple of things that I want screw arround with but cant afford to have mine off the car for any extended period of time since I am down to driving only the camaro right now.

I know its not much, but atleast it will get you a good case of beer for when you are putting your new engine in, regardless of what you decide to do, let me know.

Dave, yer not gunna find deals like u will in the tri ad....
It looks like the Hamilton Spectator, only smaller, and it usually has yellow on the front... It will say iSell Classifieds - Tri ad.... They are in any convenience store right beside the Auto Trader... Get it and check out the pictured items first to see if there are any engines, if none, go to the back of section C (it usually is) sometimes B, and look under both Car Parts and High Performance Parts... U should find whut u need.....
