A Day at the Dyno Part II

Well I didn't get as good of numbers as Nathan but I got better than what I did at ARE a few weeks back, so I guess I don't need to sell the car yet! I played around with the fuel pressure on 4 separate runs and here's the results of three of them:

42PSI - 206.8 HP 301.4 ft-lbs
44PSI - 207.0 HP 304.2 ft-lbs
46PSI - 208.4 HP 292.5 ft-lbs

So here's the analysis, it looks like with stock pressure (42 PSI) I've gained an additional 5HP and 9 ft-lbs of TQ with the ported plenum. And it looks like my optimal FP is gonna be 44PSI as this was good for a 6HP gain and a 12 ft-lbs gain over last year. But there seems to be an inconsistency with the 46PSI graphing so when I go back next month I'm gonna look into this as I think he made a mistake. But till then this is the numbers I have.

Nice one, those seem a little better than last time. Geez I only wish I could put up those numbers

Definate improvement over the last time! I believe the 46PSI one is incorrect...you'd have to see the graph to know what I mean. I'm gonna go talk to DPS next week when I'm back in that area to confirm it. Regardless, I'm still pleased.

Do a bunch of you guys rent Dyno time once a month or something?

If so- let me know if I can join up- I just need a few runs to set-up my tuning issues and spending $100-150.00 an hour for 90% of it being me fiddling under the hood seems like a big waste...

I'll try to remember to mention to you the next time I'll be dyno so you can join. I won't be doing a big dyno day like this time though. PM me and we can talk.
