Who's With The What-Now...??

My damned insurance company "regrets to inform me that due to economical situations they will be forced to raise my rates." Just curious, who is everyone with, what are they paying, and how satisfied are you...? I need a new company, this is BS......

I use Pilot

I use Pilot. Seem to do ok by me. Haven't raised my rates yet.

If I were under 25 I would change insurance companies often.

Unfortunately for you, you are basically an inexperienced driver, in the eyes of the insurance company. I think you will have a tough time getting a cheap insurance rate. If you took a drivers course and/or put your car into your parents or relatives name and then have you listed as a casual driver of that vehicle, you will be able to get a rate that is alot less than getting it on your own. Just a thought...
Call around and talk to the different companies.
Just another thought, check to see how much your deductable is, the higher it is, the cheaper your rate will be.Just that if you have a claim, the deductable could be worse than the claim itself.
Just my 0.02cents...

Arrrgggghhhhh !!! This is a difficult age to be enamored with V8 rwd sport coupes. Back in 1987 I had to insure my Z28 through my sister because the insurance was $3600 per year. Now I pay about $1500 per year for three vehicles.

A guy I work with (24yrs old) figures that it is cheaper for him to insure his Z28 for 6 months and drive a beater during winter -- just because of the INS costs. This might be an avenue you could consider ?

good luck,
RP.

I have my car insured for about 6 months of the year, full coverage (all the deductibles, glass, fire, theft, vandalism, etc etc) and I pay $74.00 a month. Then when I take my car off the road for the other 6 months I drive my S10 beater, public liability - $38.00 per month..... so if I do the math... 6 months at $444.00 and 6 months at $228 which equals $672/year.

Not an bad option.... but I am 31 with a 14 year clean driving history.

I'm 22 and I'm getting totally hosed on the insurance side. My lil Jimmy is insured under my father's policy yet under my name, and it's over $2400 a year. It's actually gone up a hundred bucks over the past six months, and I haven't even been pulled over once. The GTA is under my father's name since it'd be ridiculous under my own, and even it's pushing a grand a year. If this doesn't drop when I hit 25 I'll be very disappointed...

If you continue to have a clean driving record at 25 you should see a nice drop in insurance rates.....I know mine did when I turned 25!

As for the 6 month deal... you need to get a winter beater!! hehee....something that will get ya through the winter but you pay little or nothing for it
