Really bad accident on 401...
Near Upper Canada Village.
Looked like a car crossed the median ditch and got nailed by oncoming traffic
It may have been something else cause it was late tonight, but it was a big mess. They closed down the 401 and detoured us around to the next onramp.

I don't have any sympathy for some worm picker that loses it and ends up on the other side of the 401. Could have hit me or someone I know - fk'em he put himself where he is.

I hear ya George... I don't see how people can lose control of their cars... all my accidents have been rear-enders, minor at that... still bad, I know... but no one was ever hurt, and it was due to my eyes not being where they're supposed to be... they tend to wander toward a hot chick walking by, a really cool 3rd gen
, the stereo, or a dumb a$$ rustang.
, the stereo, or a dumb a$$ rustang. I've seen way too many car accidents... pileups... headons... t-bones.... most of the time its agressive jerk driving that causes them too...
I've racked up 150000 km in the last 3 years and covered pretty much the whole continent in that time... no matter where I went it was jerk driving that caused accidents...

don't be too quick to condemn
I drove a tow truck for the City of Vancouver police contractor for about 5 years (along time ago). I can assure you the only limiting factor to us being able to understand how these things happen is our imagination.
Yes, sometimes there are brainless f*cks who do really stupid things behind the wheel and typically, tragically, others have to pay for this because they are in the right place at the wrong time. Perhaps like those folks on the 401 ?
But I have a thousand stories about accidents where they are just that -- accidents. Saw alot of it and after awhile stopped trying to make sense of it.
- a driver gets stung by a bee and has an allergic reaction faints and drives into the side of a house killing 2 kids in a daycare and injuring others (1983).
- a truck drives over a rock that gets stuck between his duals until he reaches 60mph and it ejects -- right through a guy's windshield into his chest and kills him instantly, his car loses control and smashes into another car whose driver is killed on impact. I think that was 1985.
You know what ? I could fill pages with stories about accidents that I attended (or saw) that were just that -- accidents. **** happens. It could happen to you right now and no matter how well you have your **** together there may not be a thing in the world you can do about it so don't be too quick to condemn the other guy eh ?
I'm grateful for each day.

Yeah your probably right about that. I'm a bit prejudiced by having lived in Toronto for too long. A lot drivers here are criminally negligent and/or incompetent.
