Regarding Dyno Day

Well there has been a good response for the Dyno Day. However, I want to make one point. A few guys have stated that they can bring more cars out for this event. I don't mind at all if someone wants to bring out their buddies with their cars, but, as this is a thirdgen site, I would like to give the guys on the Board the first option of joining. So I will work it this way.
The Dyno Day will be held at Forrest&Forrest Racing in Kitchener on Saturday, September 14th 2002 12:30 PM. If anyone on this site wants to join in, please confirm with me by Sept.7th ( a firm committment), If there is still open spots, they can and will be filled by anyone that wishes to bring a friend along(with a firm committment). As those that attended the last Dyno Day can tell you, a firm committment is needed due to the fact that the cost will be determined by the total cars involved. ( $325+$26pst+$22.75gst=$373.75/10 cars=$37.38each) If two cars don't show the cost goes up to $46.72.
Those that I have committments from already are:
16th Owner
88redxtsy
92zeddar
Kevs87TA
Palric
Kevin Vandevenne
Slade1
Those that have tentively committed are:
Trigger GTA
86IROKZ
JohnnyIroc
That will make ten of us, which is the maximum.

Hey Kevin, no problem unless your bringing a Civic As long as your a member of the board, that's all that matters. Well it looks like it's going to fill up fast.
Palric, I added your name to the list above. I will change the list as I get more definite committments by editing my original post. Saves from making more replies to my own post.

I'm confirmed. Ready to find out just what my girl can do.

Just one thing?? I've heard dyno's are bad for cars. Is this true? I've heard people say that it gives the car alot of stress. Not that doing 12 runs at the track didn't but this is just from what I've heard.

They strap it down by what we call a 'frame' and accelerate. Has to be better than what happens on a bumpy road. Not in the least bit concerned.

See YAH there.

Hey Rovic, It's from 12:30pm - 4:30pm. I was thinking, that if anyone is interested in getting together afterwards, we can go to the Edelweiss Tavern for a bite to eat and a couple of beers. Maybe even head down to the Timmies on Ottawa St show the Ricers what a real car is Just a thought, if anyone is interested.

O.K. Slade, you are confirmed for the 14th. That gives us 8 so far, leaving only 2 spots left.Remember, that if anyone wants in, they need to confirm by the 7th or earlier. After I get 10 confirmations, anyone else will have to wait and see if anyone cancels.

i got a cat back sitting on my kitchen table right now. but i am not to sure about having the headers install before the 14th.

my guess is you will see 12HP. but if its not i hope the look on your face is the same as when you put the chip in. lol

Kev because i might not have my headers in by the 14th if ANYONE can or wants my space give it to them first! i can wait.

i will still show up no mater what

ok kev there is no way i will have my headers in time. so if you can not find some one to take my place i will just run the car and see what a cat back can do.

No problem Scott, I just moved your name to the tentative list. As for JohnnyIroc and 86IROKZ, the seventh is coming up, after that it will be first come, first served, whether-or-not they are members of the board. So let me know a soon as you can.

I haven't been posting much lately because I've been working to get headers for my car. I scored a contract with a school to build them a network. Been doing 13 hr shifts the last few days... mentally drained...

I will have headers for my car... I'm looking forward to seeing what improvement they make, from what I hear its a lot for these cars...

I may also take johnny irocs advice and install a cutout so I wouldn't have to do a 3 inch cat back anymore, just come track day, pull the switch and free flow 305 goodness hehe....

I think I got hooked on the sound the day my exhaust busted just before the cat... a 305 freeflow sounds amazing...
