i had to do it the old fashion way. file and a hole saw
after i traced it out on it. i used aluminum so it went a little faster.

Very nice... Programming those letters on the laser would be a nightmare (I don't use Autocad yet), but one it's programmed I could cut tonnes of them.
Did you use a little glue under the middle of the "A"? That must've been tricky to cut out.

SBlackfoot i might be able to get it onto auto cad for you. i will see what i can do.
what i did is i went and took a pic of the side logo. then loaded it into auto cad rescaled it to the size i wanted and printed it. i used that as a template. them just started cutting. so there is a thin piece of metal in the "A" just like the logo.

Yeah I noticed the middle of the "A" was attached, but it'd still be pretty fragile, especially since it's aluminum.
An autocad drawing would be great, if possible. It'd be pretty easy to run it through Cadcam and edit it for use on our lasers. .018" 316 should be thick enough.
Shh... Don't tell my boss... lol

That looks awesome dude. I was thinking about it, and how I could design one for Tran Am. I am thinking about using smoked plexiglass, and completely replace the original lense. I can download the T/A logo and then put it into my cad program to get it to size. Then place it onto the plexiglass on the inside and backwards and then paint over it with a black paint. Install and enjoy...I'm not sure if it's feasible yet, but I will let you all know if I do it.

What about limosine tint and then cut out the letters? Eh, maybe not.I will play around with a few ideas. I don't have the necessary tools to do it in aluminum.
