i dont know if my cousin can score slicks to fit a 16" rim or not. the jason and i have are used cascar slicks. they are 27" tall, 9" wide and fit on a 15" rim. they were 40 bucks, no tax, mounted and balanced. if you want some 16s..i can ask if he can get them.

cascar slicks

hey if you could hook me up with a set of those cascar slicks for 40 bucks that would be amazing! Where would I have to pick them up?

errr they would have to be 16 inch though. 15 inch rims rub my calipers.

I've got 3 sets of those out back in my shed right now. Cost $0

A friend of mine used them on his 81 Camaro. They hooked up very well, and are well worth the $$. They may not work as well as a 'drag' slick, but they'll be pretty close. With those tires he was able to cut a 1.5 60ft on with stock suspension in his 81. He had 4.56 gears though

Provided nothing explodes.... it could be close. I'm trapping at 99.x MPH.

It's possible... but I was trapping higher than you before I put my headers on.

I think you've got another potato stuck in there somewhere... I think it's you need a chip. A chip, an aftermarket TPI rig... and headers will see you into the mid 13.xxs no prob.

my time slip when we race show you at 99.71mph and that is with your headers!

unless your headers did not help your trap speed at all

Trigger, without a chip, the ecm defaults to the regular air fuel rpm tables for the stock setup, bypasses O2 sensor completely for fuel delivery... by my accounts you are running very very lean on that setup at WOT...

to be sure hook up your o2 sensor to a multimeter and read the voltages.. should be 0.875 - 0.950 V is good for WOT..

Part throttle will give erratic readings, just it's way of showing you its doing its job. The only way to test is to go on wot runs on the open road. 3rd gear load test is the key one, or for stick 1:1 ratio ie fourth gear. I'll be in Waterloo tomorrow afternoon, if ya want I can swing by with my multimeter, it has a record mode perfect for checking min/max/avg readings... wish we had some dyno of our own to test these things, makes it a lot easier no cop worries...

What is your highest trap speed thus far? I am trying to dig out some old slips before I put the headers on. I think the headers will get you very close to a 13...

Trigger, you can have my Ed Wright chip after Gerrit makes me a new one. It was burned for a setup identical to yours.........355, medium size cam, long runner, 10.5:1 compression. That's if you want it.

I hit 95 MPH before my headers... so I am guessing that you will be running somewhere in the low 14s with your headers installed. I think the chip is the key to unlocking your power.
