Mine starts to bounce around at 140, it's not that bad. It's probably because of that, they went to an electronic speedo later on.

Actually though funny, i could hit 240 and more in my 305tpi 5 speed quite easily. Sure it would take a couple miles to do but it got up there.

Its some scary samn dhit doin 240. I dont think I would do that again untill I have full performance suspension parts and a new bottom end in the eng. has anyone seen the street race movie getaway in stockholm 2? They have a twin turbo supra burrying a 300km speedo with a bumper mounted camera, on a city highway (not busy, but still...)!

i have actually recently found out that i do infact have a 350 tpi and it was quite easy to get it to 240(granted it was all over the place,{speedo}) but she seemed to be floating as to be driving on pavement

First of all this by no means a flame or anything but how did you not know what engine your car had? The previous owner never told you and for 3 years you never ran the #s?

well, i was thinking of keeping the engine totally stock(no headers or anything) but i grew out of that phase quite quickly...

the guy that i bought the car off of was to be nice...retarded... he knew nothing about the car and he had the car for 3 years himself, never did a tuneup or really took care of it...so thats the story of that...

now that i have been biten by the speed bug i had to do some searching thus finding out it was a hot fast tpi 350...

Why wait till next year? Put up or shut up. Exactly what #s did you run to find out you had a 350? Can you post them? I'd be glad to confirm this for you.... and can you explain to us again how you found out you had a Comp XE?

LOL, the exhaust guys told you what kind of cam you had? Are you kidding me?

You better get those numbers.

If you don't know where to look, read this:

Honestly, i'd leave that cam in there if it helped propel the car to a 13.5.

Getaway in Stockholm was pretty good. Was thinking about doing something like that around here. But than again, our Police Department wouldn't care for that nonsense. They're everywhere anyway, at anytime of day or night.

As to iroc, how can you not know what engine your running? I don't know about all of you, but before I bought my car, I knew everything about it. From the engine to the damn interior code. I guess you don't work like that, no matter. Some of us just don't get the concept is all....lol j/k of course! By all means Iroc, I'm sure you were going to get around to it sooner or later!

ya thought about it too bud... for about 2 seconds. Man its not just the cops are everywhere, they were probably everywhere in stockholm too. The thing is, in getaway in stockholm 1 they used a porsche 911 TT at night, and the took like small roads where they could easily loose the cops and what not. In #2 they used an escort cosworth and a TT supra, both tuned well beyond 450hp and driven by people who frequently street and track race in stockholm. They took mostly highway type stuff and a bit of city driving, but they used all out speed to out run the cops. Pretty crazy shiat if you ask me. If you ever get a chance to see getaway in stockholm 2 everybody, TAKE IT. At the end of #2 they explain that they had rented a helicopter camera and had people posted on different streets along the way to tape, but by the end of the day the cops had figured out it was the movie sequel to the first one and were demanding the name of the driver (go figure, the movies made them look like incompetant idiots) so they couldnt use rear spoiler, heli, or handheld cam footage but they did show tiny clips of each to prove they actually had them. I hope they do a #3 and work out some kinks. If they made the 3rd movie with as much of an improvement over 2 as 2 was over 1, I would honestly pay 100 bucks for a dvd. hope that makes you guy want to see it, cause you really should.
