oh do a search on the subject...there is a picture of a car like easyspeeds with side exit exhaust. at the risk of getting my assed flamed i think side exit exhaust looks pretty good...however ground clearance will be an issue

Side exhaust coming out of the ground fx themselves?

I always wondered how that would look like..

You'd nail the ground clearance issue, but it would require some reworking of the floor pan design.

before i went true dual, i had mine come out of the passenger side before the rear wheel, no problems with clearance i got be a square tip, and it looked pretty good, now the only thing that bothered me and made me change it was the noise especially at highway speeds...wow....but no reworking of the floor pan it actually looks like it was designed for it.

Idle, you wouldn't have to rework it, because the passenger side was made for the exhaust... its the drivers side that's tricky.

I was watching "Popular Hotrodding TV" yesterday, and they had a 3rd gen Camaro on there with side pipes, from up top, it looks nice, but it did hang down a bit... Here's some pics for true duals ona 4th gen http://pages.sprint.ca/modpics/files/3dualalb.htm

I have true dual as well on my bird. Except my exhaust stops at the rear axle and curves downward a bit. Not a bad ground clearance problem. I think the side exhaust would look awesome!

Unless you have access to a plasma cutter, a good welder, alot of time and a general understanding of WTF you are doing, you can pretty much forget about routing it through the GFX.

Iroc2nv: Do you have 4" off the collectors or 4" tips, because there is a BIG difference.

Got a part # for that 4" Hooker exhaust? I'd like to get one and it should be inexpensive.

What the hell do you need a 4" exhaust for?

Are you planning on running the pipes inside of the GFX for the length of the car?

Because in case you don't know... underside of the car hangs down further than the GFX. You are going to have to channel the floor.... not amateur stuff.

If you just want side exit under the GFX and aren't worried about clearance... it's no big deal.

removing the under the under car lights would be an excellent mod. as for the duals, go with dynomax bullet mufflers, they flow awesome and will give you the most clearance
