What a Mess :(
Hey Guys/Girls : About a week & half ago my insurance calls me and inquires about a accident i had in my work vechile 1 yr ago .
So i tell her the stuff and say ......i thought that vechile was fixed privately cause the damage was very minor .
So she tells me ..........nope the person claimed it on his insurance .
NOW PAY ATTENTION .........this happened in my work Truck not my personal vechile WTF .....no damage to the truck ......$1500 to the other vechicle ......which is a
estimate .
So now MY PERSONAL INSURANCE company wanted to change my rate from .....2100 a yr for 2 cars fully covered plus plus plus
to ...........$5200 a yr
i spoke to my guy who insures me at work that day ....he sent a letter to my insurance company .......after a week of hell .......
they are waiving the accident off my record .......so nothing will change .......THANK.....YOU
Man ......what a week of hell waiting to see what there gonna do

Insurance is a scam. It's just that it's a legal scam.

Watch out, you could put a hole clean thru an F-350 with that kind of speed.

Insurance $420 a month
NTChrist: The sunfire is not or never will be a fast car it is just a beater till I pick up a project car and I already have a CAI!
(I cant justify spending the money on a 4cyl) plus its damn expensive. I will post a link later with prices.

That seems unusually high but I expect you've shopped around - out of curiosity, were you paying less for insurance on the TA when you had it.

The Trans am was in my Dads name but to put it in my name it would have been $7000 for basic coverage
no collision just bare mininum. When Ishopped around other companies told me to take the $5200 because I wouldnt get and better the 2nd best was $6000. Did I mention I have a clean record, no tickets or accidents.

Check out Motors Insurance - they are usually WAAAY cheaper for f-bodys.

Oh btw, I'm under 25 with a clean record - so I still get screwed by insurance companies.
Hope that helps,
Mark

It was in the square one parking lot before we went to cayuga
Hmmm....guess more people wrap sunfires around trees than I would have thought...
Insurance companies make no sense. There is no reason for insurance premiums being that high for someone who has no tickets. Unfortunately it is a necessary evil

83TA and 91 Ranger - no recent convictions - $2 mil. liability - no collision - $1,800 this year for both - up from $1,500 last year. Paid a lot less for insurance when I lived in Stouffville.

I'm 24, single and I pay $120 a month with one major ticket still on my record for my '83 Z28. Under my own name as well.

My insurer wanted a picture of the TA this year as a condition of continuing the policy. The excuse was that they needed to determine whether or not the car had been modified ?????????

Lets see, I'm paying almost $2500 in insurance for my little Jimmy, insured under my father's plan but registered in my name, and just under $1000 for the GTA, registered in my father's name. No tickets, never even been pulled over, four cars total on the plan (actually they want to increase the amount for each vehicle because of the fourth car. Figure that one out). I'm not sure what options are on either though. My father insists on not putting collision on the GTA for some bizzarre reason, although I think we have it on the Jimmy.
I'm hoping that when I hit 25 in a couple of years I can get the GTA registered under my name and hopefully pay close to what I'm paying now (does that make sense? lol).
