The whole cluster has to come out of the dash to do the lights, that's the only way. The lights (194 type) plug into these lights screw in pieces and then screw into the back of the cluster. It varies I believe depending on the year, but I believe mine had 11 bulbs. If you remove the dash pad you can get at the speedo cable to release it from there to pop out the cluster.

If you have trouble let me know and I might be able to stop by help you out. I highly suggest getting the LED 194 bulbs. I haven't got them, but I really want them. Their just extremely expensive.

Sorry this reply took so long...busy with the holidays and stuff.

If you haven't already done it then this might be helpful...It's not at all hard to do, just a little time consuming to take off all the screws and bolts. Taking off the dash pad takes the longest cause there is soooo many screws. I say you could do it in about an hour, maybe a bit more if you've never done it before. No pics though sorry. PM me if you want me if you have any specific questions.

If you are refferring to the bulbs that are behind the speedo and gauges then you shouldnt need to take off the dash pad..Just take off everything behind in front of you T-10 and 7/32,1/4 sockets IIRC..just pull those bulbs out..It shouldnt take more than 5 minutes

The only reason why I suggest taking off the dash pad is I found it easier to get at the speedo cable release to take out the cluster. If you can reach the cable release from below than all the power to ya.

Daz: Are you suggesting that you can change all the cluster's bulbs without removing the cluster from the car?

I'm not trying to be a smart **** here, but I don't see how you could possibly get them all. If I coulda did it I would have but some of them even with the cluster out are in ever so slightly tricky areas. Perhaps your cluster has less lights but mine had 10 or 11 in total.

I remember using those rubber thingies that you put in your finger for collating paper to reach around some of the gauges..I never have to remove the dash pad

I just wanted to say that I spent at least an hour just trying to figure out how to get the cluster out so I could replace the bulbs. There is no way to get to the bulbs from the front. Unless you have super small fingers. Needless to say I haven't replaced the bulbs because I couldn't get the cluster out. It kept catching on something and Icouldn't figure out what. Now I know. Thanks for helping me and him.
