Hey Dave, I forgot all about Cookstown. I just have had no time to even think about it. If you go, let me know. I probabley won't be able to go, but I will let you know what I am looking for, and if you happen to find something, you can let me know.

Don't bother wasting your time. I used to go there all the time because they had like 20 thirdgens lying around in the yard. I went in October looking for something and walked right into a maze of minivans - all the thirdgens had dissapeared. I asked them what had happened and apparently they crushed them all. There are only maybe two or three there now and there isn't too much left on them. If you know what you're looking for I can tell you whether it will be there or not.

Well I am mostly just looking for a Headliner and maybe another TBI unit, or the injector pod off a 350 TBI truck/car....

Hey Sinoed, I need rear axles from a TA with the disc brakes. I don't actually need the disc's, just the axles, but a drum brake setup had a different part #, and I would like to get a good console. If they have any of this, let me know, thanks.
BTW, I have a 3.27 posi, incase it's relevant.

Kevin...I am going to try and head up there tomorrow, just for something to do in the afternoon. I will keep my eyes open for you.

Also, BTW, I was by Cooksville earlier this week and saw an older GTA/TA with a disk rear end (probably 86 or something like that)....would this work for you...I think I recall you saying that you have a 9 bolt....are those axles different than the 10 bolt ones?

Hey, Dave, they won't work if they're a 10 bolt, atleast that's what I've been told. I was also told that most of the 3rd gens are BW 9 Bolts. That would be great if you could take a look. If it is what I need, see how much they want for it. Also see if it is a 3.27 of better. If has better gears than 3.27, see how much they want for the whole rearend.
BTW, it's the drivers side axle that I need.

Went up there earlier today to check out things....well there are quite a few 3rd gens up there and a couple of them looked like they were relatively un-molested...probably 15 or so of them in different condiditon.

As for the 9-bolt rear ends...I didnt see any. Most of the rears I could see/check out in the cars were drums and 10 bolt...I think they pull the disc ones off and throw them on the rack.

As for my headliner I did see two which would work if I re-covered them....but they wanted $50 bucks for them and that's for me pulling it...I was like buddy, what do I have sucker written on my face?? Needless to say I said forget it. I was thinking more like $20 bucks....maybe $30 if I was in a good mood that day but not $50 bucks for a used headliner!

15 or so? Where did you find those ones? They must have got more since I was up there a couple of months ago because I can guarantee there weren't that many there last time I checked. They may have a rear axle but I don't know about that center console, if I remember right (from the ones that were there last time I checked anyways) they weren't in that great of shape.

I got mine from Cambridge Auto, out of a '86 Camaro, and it had been professionally installed sometime before it ended up in the wreckers. I paid $25. It was a perfect fit.

Sinoed....most of the ones I found were on the "right side" if you walk in right past the scales. There were some good finds up there including one 88 SC which looked like it had not been touched yet by any of the "grave robbers"....
