with super duper flying colors... i came there and i thought my exhaust had a leak all this time, but apparently it doesn't, i just have some crazy vibrations coming from it lol, maybe something is loose, but he said everything was fine!
i remember me and rovic lined up in my basement and my car sounded exactly like his flowmaster lol, and i have the stock system...

Have you heard Rovics recently? He left my house one night and I heard him for at least 5 mins. It is loud as hell and that was before the headers.

I'm kinda worried too. Stickers expired over the winter, my ten day permit expired today (I would've done it last week, damned distributor...), shop closed at 6... Dammit.

Your sucess gives me hope for the day I have to satisfy the Ministry.
I lucked out recently though, I did not have stickers for 3 years and purchased them the other day. I was able to get the 2year sticker without a slip for the etest. I have not had to get the etest yet and I have an '87. Slipping under the radar.

Ok your HC rating was 60ppm.. So why would mine be 69ppm if we drive practically the same car?? Mine was done April 21/03... You would think it would of been the same.... hmmm.. I think drive clean just shoots out a number and that is what it goes by...

My HC was 67.. passing 69
An 02 sensor with 200,000km was the culprit I suspect.
That's on a 91 TBI 305 with lots of blowby also. I was way under half and at 0.00 for the rest of my readings. I did lots to try and clean up my motor and fuel system before going for testing tho(ran ATF in the oil and camp fuel in my fuel etc...).
D's89IROCZ conditional passes are $450 yes... think you may have to try and pass testeing twice tho before you can get one. You'd be better off buying a 3way or highflow(depending on how badly you fail) cat and replacing your pcv/egr or just doing a general tuneup for that kinda cash. Unless you have some kinda major fuel delivery or ignition problem it shouldn't be that hard to pass.
When I did my testing they didn't even look under the car to see if I had a cat(or inspect my engine bay. Just rolled the car onto the rollers and probed it with the computer. Was a couple of kids doing it. I'm sure some places care and some don't. No hurt in going to a place ahead of time and asking if they would or wouldn't care if you're missing something.
