well..
i love my iroc, i really do..but after watching the many different movies (home) of 4th gens im thinking i want a forth gen and to sell my iroc..
now..my gf says im an idiot, because ive spent sooo much on the iroc and ill never get close to that much back (spent $24,000 and appraised at $20,000) but..i dunno..i know i wont get even close to what i want...and thats whats keeping me from doing it
i can sell the iroc (ask $17000 obo certified emissions...emissions is cool cuz i only have to do an idle test cuz the car is too low to get on a dyno) and then take that..buy a 95 z28..do that up with skirts etc and super the motor and have a kick a$$ ride...
but...
i can keep the iroc, do the 383 lt1 stroker, 6spd tranny, 410 gears and then later buy a 4th gen and do that up too..although..by that time, ill be looking to get married to the gf and get a house and that lovely stuff so i wont be able to do it all..
what do you guys think?

I say sell. I can appreciate what you've done to that car, but 4th gens are cooler

I think on virtually every 3rd gen you would have to sit on it for a long time before you find someone willing to pay 17,000 no matter what the condition is/what has been done.

i agree with you...i know that it has to be someone who wants something like that in order to get someone to buy it...hell it doesnt even look like a camaro anymore...so...the only way i know i could sell it is if someone really wanted a show ready car with awards to back it up..
i think i will keep her and buy a 4th gen later on in life...hey..im only 24 so i have alot of time..:P
thanks for the words though guys

I was thinking of selling my Z28 for around $10,000-$12,000. When you choose to sell a car that you've invested a great deal of time and money in you need to detach yourself from the sale. The car is never worth the sum of it's parts, labour or love. You need to figure out what it's worth within it's market and advertise it at a little more than that to give yourself some room to drop.
Just keep it. Now that you've got the appearance mods to a level you're happy with.........make it quicker. But do it realistically

Showcar or not, I suggest you try to sell it at that price. You more than likely will be disappointed with the responses / offers ( I'm talking from experience ). Secondly, I prefer my 3rd gen Iroc style as opposed to the 4rth gen ( just IMO).
