get some actual snow tires. a 205/75/15 or something in that range would likely work alright.

better hope the choke on your car works....

I ran 225/60R15 Blizzacks all the way around on our old 83 Z28 and it worked great, we found the 70 series hit our wheel well when turning.

excellent point.

icebird, you may want to go with a shorter tire in the front so it doesnt rub. by the way, the tires hawk mentioned are 25.6 inches tall. the ones i mentioned are 27.1 inches tall.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html -----> you can entre tire sizes here and get all sorts of data.

Blizzaks are great tires. Worked well in the -30*C wasteland that I used to live in.

You probably already know this but throw a couple of 80lb. bags of sand in the trunk - helps a good bit.

I had Kumho 215/65/15 's on mine and work excellent !!!

It's too bad i just sold mine last week for $480 rims& tires used for 1 season .

These tires are less $$ than Blizzacks and work the same .
