cars gone for winter?
Have you guys put your cars away yet?
With the decent weather we've been having this week, i went and renewed my road coverage insurance for 6 months.
But i'll cancel it eventually.

I put mine in the garage for winter early/mid last month. I still need to disconnect that battery...
It's definitely only a nice weather car. I only had to fill the gas tank three or four times this year. That's less than 1200kms over one year.

monday's the day for me... and i have to e-test before it comes back out, which basically means the new engine has to go in... why spend dough on the 305 when the 406 is sitting there waiting now, right?
of course, that also means rebuild tranny, install the new posi rear, sfc's, lca's, torque arm, yadda yadda yadda...
gonna cost me one pile 'o' cash to put the beasty back on the road...

Yeah, I parked mine on Nov. 14th after driving it through tons of snow and salt after the big storm hit.
I then spent all of Saturday morning washing out the salt before putting it away. Of course, the weather has been beautiful since then.

Mine was on the road for about five minutes. Came out in july and was never run again. Had to tow it back to the garage last month. What a shame.

Well, if you have a 3rd gen in decent shape, you can't afford NOT to have a winter beater. I had my '83 for 13 years with no rust until it got totalled. When you can get a beater for $1000 or less, it's criminal to allow the salt to destroy a good 3rd gen is less than half a dozen years.

actually i made it possible to do so, i just got my 84 ta last march and well have been driving it since july. and well im a student paying for school, insurance, and other bills. i can't afford another car right now unless your willing to say "give" or "lend" me one for the winter
