Engine is OUT!!!!!!!!

Just thought I would post and tell everyone that my 305 is out and laying on the floor now days..got it out yesterday.. bent my oil cooler tubes though!! but that is it for damage on my first engine swap.. I thought it would be a little more difficult but it wasn't too bad.. I left the TPI on aswell for the pull and the passenger side header.... found those pesky ground wires that connect to the back of each head... but all and all I happy with the way it went.. Now I am going to be extra particular with the swap in wanna make sure it doesn't look ghetto when I am done... It should be ready for the spring.. Hopefully it has more power than my 305 on Steroids did...!! hahahahaha and oh ya DD2000 says it should 455hp..... BUT I say subtract 100hp and it should be close I think..

What did you wind up going with on the new engine? I think I remember a miniram, 218/224 cam, and TFS G2's. Is that right? My engine is on the stand, again But at least it's not because it's broken this time.

YA ... Miniram,218/224 cam but G1 Trickflows. Hyper pistons, slp headers...

Question: is there any other types of coatings for headers out there besides the shiny chrome looking stuff..??

As for the 305... I think it will put away for now... unless some people have some offer's for me... hahahaha

the G1's can take more cam than that which the miniram would like if you have more than 10:1 compression.I had a 220/230 on a Superram/G1 heads and its still puts out too much torque(400-450 from 2000-4500).Granted its a 383 but I think the miniram would enjoy the bigger cam more.rear wheel dyno said 350-375HP though

It's a combination of the brokerage fees, duty, and shipping.

Ya I know I could go bigger cam but I think this is suffice for now.. I could always need another winter project later.. And its a little easier to pass emissions with this cam.. My cam has 110LSA (You shut up Acceld Z ) on it so it should have a slightly different rumble to it.. I am running about 9.5:1 (Flat Tops) compression aswell.. wanted to keep it down a little incase one day the Supercharger comes.. Daz your car was dynoed at 350-375 RWHP?

yup..Dynojet ..in Scarborough..or was it Downsview?..Well its the guy that has an ad in the buy and sell..lol...I think highly optimistic though as he only blipped the the throttle about half a minute on that one..I still think track times are a better gauge. The horsepower changed when he rowed through the gears but its still above 320 RWHP(same torque averages)..BTW my G1 heads were ported for 1206 intake gaskets..
