just say its not broken therefor it can't be fixed, and then if you are forced to "modify" it, make the super (or the people that complain) pay for the parts. of course thats just me; of course if it was me and I had to quiet it down I would add a cutout just to **** people off.

Im not sure what else you could do besides trying to get a quiter series flowmaster. Or just ignore her complain and see what happens.

Just say that there are bikes, imports that make more noise than your car and if they don't change their system, than why should you? I've had run ins with some super's in my day and all they want is to keep their building clean and quiet. But really...it's a car. Dude, just say that to her if she ask's you again. Personally, I wouldn't give a ****. My car is my car, as is yours. She doesn't like it, tuff *****. I like the idea that red90bird said, make them pay for your car to be "quiet"

Tell her your OLD exhaust was rotten, and that was probably the noise the others heard. But since you fixed it with STREET LEGAL parts you bought at ...say Canadian Tire (she won't know the difference, and you can buy pretty much anything from them now, and it sounds more "legit and legal" to some know-nothing broad) the exhaust is much quieter now. Even your 2 friends agree, you know, the cop and the lawyer.

Install a cutout after the y-pipe and run it uncorked for a while.

As ong as the exhaust is both Emission and Certified legal, there isn't much she or the tenants can do about it. Now you get some idiots who will mess with you car once you tell them where to go, so just turn the alarm sensitivity up some and keep an eye on her.

I like the cut-out idea. Leave it open and tell her that you "fixed" it and that you think it's quieter, but you can always put it back the way it was if she wants.
