Chassis dynos in Ontario...

If you know of a shop with a chassis dyno in Ontario, please post the name of the shop and where it's located. It doesn't look like i'm going to be able to get the car tuned locally. I also want to find out how much this will cost, approximately, before I put a carb on the engine

Forest and Forest is around K/W I believe. There is also a place in mississauga but I forget the name right now. Also a place in the London area... not sure of places closer to you. Avg price is like $100/hr I believe.

You know tuning on the track(1/4mi) is almost as good as tuning on a dyno... In some ways it's better even for practical reasons.

I need to have it programmed for drivibility too. Not to mention our local tracks suck the big one. It would take 2 months of Saturday mornings or 3-4 hours on a chassis dyno.

I thought the place in Miss closed (dynopowerservices). The last time I spoke with anybody there they said they didn't do any tuning.

We have Tapp Auto but the owner told me that he's only done one DOS based DFI tune. I'm not really interested in paying to be part of his learning curve. But, it may come down to that.

Paul, I'll talk to Rick to see if he has knowledge, or knows who you could use if not.

a place down the road from me (mississauga/oakville border) caloled Tag Motorsport has a dyno. They are cheap too, i think its like $50/hour and like $80/hour with wide band o2
Really nice guys too, been around for a long time and really big in Stang back in the 5.0 era. Now they do everything, they even got a tubbed Honda that they are trying to get into the 10's naturally aspirated

Do you know if they have any experience with the older DFI stuff (5.0-6.32)?

I don't know anyone personally, but I have heard the rumor more than once. My buddy has a Talon and Tapp does all of his work , but he was there one day and saw a 00 T/A on the dyno being tuned (said it was there for the better part of the morning). Thats all I know bud, good luck with it!!

Have you contacted Accel themselves to see if they know of someone in the area?

What about Agostino in TO..I have heard rumours of some shoddy engine building in the past to US customers, but they do move a ton of EFI cars through there and have a wide band/chassis dyno.
