I'd say $3500-$9000

It can vary yes but it depends on the owner of the car as well.

i'm gonna put my 2 cents on this one.

be careful... i use to own a 91 rs i picked up for $3200 a few years ago... then i decided i would... put it back together.... it had rust... some weird pink rims... it was slow... seat was ripped, etc. etc. etc...

anyhow at the same time i was looking in the autotrader and i saw people selling "mint irocs" for $5000. I figured i might as well sell the RS and get 3k outta it, and buy a MINT iroc with TPI and the works for 5 g's...

300 camaros test-drives later, i realized half the people in this world are bs'rs... mint my ***... immaculate my ***.... alot of **** out there...

i ended up picking up my 92Z which was near showroom condition for around 10,000. it's funny... i sold the RS for 3,000... but after test-driving all those cars i seem to have saved up another 7,000! so all of a sudden a 10g car wasn't out of my price range and i figured it would be better off buying a real mint car than fixing up a piece of junk!

How many "other peoples" clutches needed to be replaced after you test drove them?

listen dumb****

if you paid attention i realized last summer that since i bought the car the clutch master cylinder has been cracked in half causing severe wear.

it is now fixed and the clutch problem went away.

How bad was this clutch MS broke in half? I can't imagine it working at all to disengage the clutch. The way I would guess it woud work is a tiny crack would hold the clutch enough to shift gears. Holding the pedal for a few minutes would let the clutch engage again. A big crack woud not let you do anything. No matter what, either problem would see you running out of fluid in no time and the clutch no worky any more. What happened?

Alex no drive sticky very good...

Blame mechanic...

Go back to same mechanic every time...

Thus multiple clutches...

A cracked master? Good one.
The pressure those build up, a hairline crack wouldn't last for a tour around town before it split.

Not to ruin a perfectly good hijack but I believe someone was talking about cars??? There are still lots of nice third gens around when you look. I found mine in the autotrader for a silly low price considering the condition. Keep looking til you find what you want and do some research to make sure you know what you want!
Ok you guys can go back to poking each other with sticks now
