Passed Last E-test!!
Passed my last e-test ever in the IROC this morning under hotrod status. I'm pretty pumped having to not deal with more future BS.
I put a stock MAF back on (from fully ported stocker with no screen) and ran McEwen Ethanol gasoline after having good results in my truck.
Here are the results, thought some of you might be interested.
Driving test - 1977 rpm
HC ppm; Reading 102 - Limit 242
CO%; Reading 0.57 - Limit 1.92
NO ppm; Reading 1182 - Limit 2520
Idle test - 1119 rpm
HC ppm; Reading 150 - Limit 300
CO%; Reading 1.43 - Limit 1.50
NO ppm; Reading N/A - Limit N/A
Here are the results form 2 years ago when it failed twice and figured to jack the idle up.
Driving test - 1993 rpm
HC ppm; Reading 109 - Limit 278
CO%; Reading 0.63 - Limit 2.20
NO ppm; Reading 1906 - Limit 2898
Idle test - 1215 rpm
HC ppm; Reading 242 - Limit 300
CO%; Reading 1.18 - Limit 1.50
NO ppm; Reading N/A - Limit N/A
Notice the limits have tightened even for the hotrod cars.

My Camaro goes in Tommorow for its latest test, I'm nervous, gonna have to cheat as it has barely snuck by the last 2 tests.
Congrats.... it was a great feeling when I passed the last one with my old car (Thanks 99% pure isopropyl!). There's no hope in hell of passing with the new car unless we do a cam swap.... if anyone has a hook up....

Phew, squeaked by again
The guy had to run my car in 2nd gear to get it to pass, high hydrocarbons. Safe for another 2 years......

Didn't do anything to lower NOx..just the fuel and MAF was different from previous test.
The results are for the 95 LT1 with NO emissions equip at all.
Zedder, How did the 90 do for actual results?

Not even cats?
My 98 just barely fails witout cats. Tried several times. It's a PITA to put the cats on. I have to do it again now. Wonder how many exhaust manifold studs will break..........
I'm leaving them on this time. No more screwing around with that till I switch to long tubes.

LOL!
Tank vent and return line? Vapor canister? Still got the orb or that gone too? I know, it's vacuum powered HVAC.
I keep those things I mentioned. They take no HP.

The tank vent is still on the canister, but with no electrical connections to it...ie it never gets purged. The LT1 pcm doesn't have any such function so it's disconnected.
I didn't want to make it automatically purge with engine running so it didn't start dumoing in extra crap at low engine speeds.
Any thoughts on a better way to do this?
My fuel return line still exists per original.
What is Orb???
